Disney Bus Question

Hello all! We're staying at CSR this May, and I just realized that I couldn't remember how transportation works from resort to resort. I know that the buses start running for the parks about an hour before the parks open, but are they running all the time from resort to resort? I have a 7:00am reservation at Chef Mickeys and am wondering if there is going to be a bus we can hop on from our resort to get to the contemporary at that time, or if I should reschedule my ADR. Any advice would help!

There are special "character bus" routes to take guests to breakfast. You should be out on the platform an hour before your reservation.

Ask the driver of each one whether he is serving the location you are going to.

Normal resort buses go only to parks where you must transfer to get to another resort. Before 11 AM you should seek out a bus supervisor in the platform area at the park to be sure that a run back to the desired resort is scheduled.

There are no resort to resort buses in WDW. You have to go to a nearby park and change, or to DTD.
Early morning breakfast buses are running, so get an early morning bus to the MK and then walk to the CR.
Good Luck

Buses start running, from the resorts to the parks, at 6:30 each morning. They don't run quite as frequently as the regular buses do though...so plan accordingly.
Getting to CM's for a 7am ADR is going to be very hard using Disney transportation. If you get on the first bus to MK, then you might make it. It's about 15 mins to MK, then about 8-10 min walk over to CR. The bus driver might drop you at the CR if you tell him you need to be there for 7, but he may not do it. The monorail doesn't start running until 7, so that's not going to be of any use....and it really is quicker to just walk.
I would seriously recommend either trying to change your ADR to one closer to 7:30 or just get a cab over to the CR.

Generally speaking, if you need to get to a resort, from another resort, you need to head to the nearest park (to either the resort you're at, or the one you want to get to), and then transfer to the appropriate resort bus. And doing this takes time...plan on at least an hour.

If we are eating at another resort we usually take a taxi. We did this last week with 7 of us and took a taxivan. Once to Kona Cafe and once to Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It ran 12 dollars plus tip. It took about 10 minutes from BCV.
