Hi Booked a 1 bedroom villa pool/garden view at BWV using cash as opposed to points. This is are first time staying. Was wondering any advice on room requests? Has anybody stayed in the corner villas since the refurb to see what there new layout is like? Do any of the one bedrooms have a pull out bed under the tv?

If you are referring to the corner rooms that face the driveway and have huge wrap around balconies, those are standard (resort) view rooms. No one bedrooms at Boardwalk have the pull out under the TV. Possible requests might be "close to elevator," "Luna pool (the themed pool) view," "quiet pool view," "view of canal towards Hollywood Studios." You may have other preferences for room requests--these are just examples.

I was thinking of the corner rooms e.g. 4051 my understanding was they had a slightly different interior layout than other one bedrooms. But I’m not really sure.

The x051 rooms have the same layout as other one bedrooms, except that some have larger balconies. The x123 rooms are the only one bedrooms with a different floor plan.

Sorry, I think I got them mixed up. Thank you for your help! Was wondering if anyone nows what has happened with the refurb and the 123 rooms.

There have been many who have asked here on the DIS for photos of the refurbed x123 rooms. I have not seen photos here, but there may be some out on the web somewhere. Because of all the panoramic windows in those rooms, there is no wall space for a Murphy bed, so there are still sofa beds in the refurbed x123 rooms.

We always request a room in this area, ground floor. Easy access to both pools, splits the walking distance evenly for Epcot/DHS, easy access to parking lot by walking along the river. Can take shortcuts outside via the doors at either end of the hall in nice weather, or use the interior hallways in rain or heat. Best area at BWV, but don’t tell anyone… ;-)

My current track record is 0/7 for specific room requests. Don’t get your hopes up. Boardwalk is not known for filling room requests

How do you word your request, to get that one hallway (I'm assuming you're comfortable with facing either pool)?

I don't know why but I have always been lucky with room requests at BWV. Owned for 26 years. I remember one big family trip when we had a Grand Villa, a 2 bedroom, and 2-one bedroom BW view rooms booked for a week in October. We asked for a high floor and close together. We got all 4 rooms on 5th floor with only a couple of studios between the GV and the other rooms. I don't know how the room assigner managed it!

Ah, I should have known. So you indicate that range of room numbers, both sides of the hall?

Yeah, I just edit their request form, adding the text from a second room on the other side of the hall as well.

Their sample text is “Bldg Disney's BoardWalk Villas South Building,Flr 1,NE-facing room.Exmple:1094” so I’d just add in the section from a room across the hall as well.

What might work if making the request directly with Disney is “South Building, ground floor, wing between the two pools please, room range 1088-1095”

Note - ALL the rooms in that wing are 1 bedroom garden/pool view. No studios. That’s the other reason we like that section, no connecting rooms so it’s a bit quieter.

we have a 1BD P/G view in November ...we really do not want a room with a sofa bed and prefer the Murphy. I understand that some of the 1BBs still have sofa beds. Any suggestions for how to make a request that we prefer a Murphy bed? Is saying "Prefer 1BD with Murphy bed" sufficient?

From everything I have seen here and on other forums, there are no P/G rooms with sofa beds, only 3 standard/resort view and a few BW view.

So funny we most recently requested a higher floor room near an elevator for our boardwalk view one bedroom and we were given the ground floor room next to jelly rolls 😆. Longest walk we’ve ever had and who even knew they had first floor boardwalk view rooms
