HI! Heading out tomorrow 1/15 for PO and want to do dinner at the boardwalk restaurants. Does anyone know how that big river restaurant fares along with other restaurants in the area?

Thanks!

Big River Grille is decent. We've been there several times; and while I won't say the food is excellent, it's usually quite good. It's somewhat along the lines of a pub-type restaurant. No rave reviews, but no complaints either.

I stayed at the BW in September and ate at the BRG. It was the worst meal of the trip.

I was on the DDP, and had a special (thinking it would be). Steak tips were undercooked, garlic mashed were luke warm and asparagus was cool. Dessert was pretty bad too. I had a chocolate cake.

Chicken Quesidilla was excellent, and beer sampler was good too. If I were to return, I'd stick to the pub fare (burgers, sandwiches) and keep away from the "specials".

We ate at Spoodles (excellent) and Cape May Clam Bake at Beach Club (pretty good) as well. Both are better choices IMO.

Spoodles is one place we never miss every time we go to WDW. It is just wonderful.

If you want to splurge a bit, try Flying Fish. The food is excellent as is the service.

We've been to Big River a few times. It's not bad, but we don't rush there like we do Spoodles and Flying Fish.
