Whose got them?! We got back home today and I am a sad panda. Kids are too. Dh I think, is keeping busy. He took the car for a detail, though it needed it, but it didn't need to be done today. We've got busy weeks ahead with back to work, school shopping, back to school. Where does the time go? How do you get past disney blues and back into a routine? I have plans for when we get our first snow to make our own pizzas with hidden mickeys of course and watch our videos we took and look at pictures. We live in Wyoming, so snow is always around the corner.

I always cure those blues by booking another trip, LOL! :goodvibes

Start planning your next Disney trip for right about the time the first snow falls

Start planning your next trip. How exciting:banana::banana:

We dealt by doing our Photopass picture edits. Then just talked about what we saw and did. Watch Seeyareelsoon on YouTube and live vicariously through their trips. Talk about what we want to do next time. And, now what has finally really helped...start planning for hopefully our Oct 2015 trip ;)

Boy have I got them. Normally I would start planning a new trip to cure that. But...We have gone to WDW several times over the last few years. We had AP's this last year and went four times in a 12 month period. We have decided to skip Disney for "a while". How long is that??? I cannot say. We miss the beach a great deal and have not been there in two years. I have also considered a cruise as a change of pace and something new for our kids. I am at a loss. I have no plan for the first time in 12 years. My kids are older...19 and 16. They still love Disney and want to go on vacation with us but they agree it is time to do something else a bit. I just do not know if we will be able to stay away for too long though. The bummer here is that with Disney prices going up so much and us spending so much over the last year at Disney as well as the uncertainty of what is ahead for my two kids, one in college and one headed that way shortly, I don't have a plan. That is really bumming me out.

I have 2 trips booked for this year-when the first ends, I will look forward to the next one...and as soon as booking opens, I am booking my trip for next year. No blues if a trip is in the works :cool1:

Ugh, it's so hard! We are just getting back to routine after an awesome trip to Myrtle Beach for DD's dance competition, and I'm even feeling morose about that - let alone Disney!!!

When we were on the Magical Express after our spring break trip last year, I was really, really sad knowing it would be a pretty long time till we were able to get back. I have to keep it together for DD, because she is much worse than me! What I always tell her is that WDW has been right in the same spot since the year I was born and has had the same feeling about it all my life. It will change a little here or there, they will build new, awesome things and some of our favorites will retire, but it will ALWAYS be there, just waiting for us for the next time we can manage to get down there! Not sure if it helps her, but it does make me feel better.

I do agree about having another trip in the works, even if it's a couple years from now. Never too soon to start picking dates, thinking resorts, saving up, etc!

The cure? Plan the next trip!

My family and I went to Disneyland in March. Had an awesome time! We were thinking about hitting DW (we've only been there twice) in 3 or 4 years and vacationing other places cheaper/closer to home in the meantime. Well, the pull of the mouse caused my wife to say, "Do you think we can go to DW in 2 years instead of 3 or 4?" Heck yah! I'm already planning. It's been a long time since my last trip to the world and I've got a lot to catch up on! I research places to stay for the 5 of us, monitor hotel/ticket prices, monitor airline prices, etc. I keep all of my research organized on a spreadsheet. It's not cheap to get 5 people from Washington to Florida. I love planning the trip...even 2 years out.

July 2016 here we come!

In 2013 we went for the entire month of February, all of F&W and for two weeks in early December. 12 weeks in all. Not all onsite and thaks to great condo deals.

It all started when tow of the girls registered for rhe Princess Half and escalated from there. At the end of the trips I said I was Disneyed out and wouldn't go back for a long, long time.

We now have three weeks reserved in February. We are planning time at Universal to see Harry and will not be buying APs, at least that's the plan. Military Salute tickets give us some flexibility.

I wonder how long we will actually stay. APs last year defined the trips because we wanted to get the most out of them. We did.

I get the Disney blues every year - as soon as we get back from our trip. We always go in mid to late Oct - by Jan I'm desperate so I book my next trip. That gives the "right" to start planning - LOL! It only helps a little bit but it's something.

I think it helps to do day trips as well, doesn't have to cost a lot. I think a lot of the time when I get home from Orlando what I am missing is that real quality time with my husband and kids, where we aren't running around doing errands or going to activities, where we are just focused on each other and having fun.

I know I get stuck in a rut sometimes but even taking a few hours to have a mini-vacation can give you a little lift. I need to actually plan them and write them on the calendar for them to happen!

Hang in there!

I feel so bad for my wife. We get home from our WDW trip and 16 hours later she returns to teaching. That's a double whammy, Disney Blues and End of the Summer/Back to School Blues all in a few hours.

Yup, we were all pretty sad the day we left last Thursday. I cheered up my DD by picking up some goodies for the flight home - Mickey cookies, Mickey rice krispies treats, Mickey shaped pretzels. When we got home, we looked at photos and videos, went through our new shirts and trinkets and that all seemed to help.

It's been 4 years since we last went to WDW but, DH had such a great time with the FP+, is hinting at going back again next year! **crossing fingers**

I 100% agree with this. Now that I think about it, I have planned weekend trips to Denver and it has helped. I try to do something fun right before the weather starts to get cold. Really can't travel to much in a flippin blizzard. I hate snow.
