Just back on 9/29 from 8 days / 7 nights @ POR. :cloud9: We had a wonderful trip, and were able to book bounceback for 9/13-20 @ CSR. :cool1:

It hasn't been a week yet and I don't know if I can contain myself waiting 344 days for the next trip. I wish it were next week, better yet, tomorrow.

Disney should give out depression meds upon check out.

I'd be in line right behind you for the meds. :lmao: We got back 9/16 and I have missed WDW badly since then. We booked bounceback also so that helps but. . . :sad2:

I know exactly what you mean! I felt that way after coming back from our first trip ever this past Jan. We are going back Jan. 2008 and I am so excited, but at the same time, am not wishing it here quicker because I know the depression I'll feel when it's over!

what is bounceback

Bounceback is Disney's free dining promotion for next year. Before checking out, if you were there between certain dates, you could book another trip for next September and get the dining plan for free.

I know the pain, we returned September 18th and have done nothing but mope and talk Disneyworld. I asked my wife in the am, " hey, lets go to the Roaring Fork to refill our mugs and a flatbread pizza" or in the evening, "hey babe, how about going down and getting us some hot chocolate". Never ends, washed my SUV yesterday and told her to stick her head inside and smell, smells like the lobby of WL. Oh, we got it bad, we're late 50's and been to the World 39 times and still count the days to the next trip.

This usually sucks because we mostly go fall and we sort of just blow through summer counting down till we can return to WDW. We're looking to return this January or February to reuse our AP's, thats only around 100 days away but I'm not too keen leaving and traveling in winter, we're from northeastern Ohio, going to the warmth of Florida and then returning to Ohio for the brunt of winter. Still can't figure why we still live here. Great thing about winter travel is we go by Amtrak and watching the snow blow by is like being in hyperspace, seeing the inches of snow out the window then next day seeing the sun and palm trees of the southern states. Plus being on the train, headed to our happy place, revelling in the warmth of the coach seats knowing whats at the end of the line but secretly knowing that there's an end to this by having to return home again and face reality.

Oh, the magic, relaxation the fun. Its there for all who care to imbibe, I tell wife we've been blessed so many times by being able to have gone to WDW so many times when others have never been. We just about live and breathe Disney, home decorated in Disney, pictures out the wazoo, albums galore and too many memories, old and new that time can't erase. Eveyone should have a happy place to retreat into when feeling sad or life isn't treating you great, ours is WALT DISNEY WORLD !

What great idea, but they should be long-lasting, too!

I'm sitting here depressed because one year ago today, we were driving to Disney and, today, we're just HERE. BLAH!:sad1: :sad2:

On the bright side, we'll be BACK in Disney in 83 days! 8 days after that, the REAL depression will kick in......BLAH!

Beautifully put. I can't add anything to that. I'm with you. We're in our 50's
too and just love to go there and just "be". Sometimes the adult kids join us,
sometimes not. It's all good. What a joy and a treasure. :goodvibes  :cloud9:

We were at POR too froom 9/22-9/29!!! It doe stink to be back! I think people are sick of hearing about my trip!:)

We would return from our trip and say that we were going to take a year off and then start looking forward to our next one, so we bought DVC. :cool1:
