My DS and DD's birthdays' are only 3 weeks apart so I am going to do a joint party this year, and of course I want a Disney theme. Have any of you done a Disney birthday party for your kids? Got any pictures or links to share? I need some ideas:thumbsup2

OMG, I did a Disney party for DD5's 3rd birthday!!! It was SOOOOO amazing and fun!!!

We made kebobs and then had regular sides (potato salad, macaroni salad, beans, etc.) and we served the sides in the popcorn buckets you get from Disneyland. Instead of a cake, I made individual brownies in star shaped pans, placed them all on a cardboard bakers sheet, drizzled them with caramel and then wrote WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR in marker at the top of the sheet. These were a HUGE hit because one, they were delicious and you got your OWN!! and two, people thought that was so cute....when they put 2 and 2 together! HAHAHA
Also, for the favor boxes (8 kids) we had JUST went to Disneyland like, 3 weeks earlier and because I knew I would be doing this party, every meal we got, we ordered a kids meal and got the plastic Munch, Inc. lunchbox (they were the gold 50th ones, wootwoot!) and then inside of those I put Disney specific Mr. Potato Head pieces, a Mickey sucker, and then one or two other small things from Disney. It was such a hit, and one of my 2 favorite birthday parties I have done!

Have fun!!

We are having a Mickey party for my sons 1st birthday on the 31st.

We took a trip down on Saturday for stationary for invites, ears for his party, and a t-shirt (they now make shirts there that you can have say anything you want - like the website).

We will take another trip down on the 24th to get stuff since by then we will know about how many people will be there.

We are going to have Mickey Head Rice Krispie treats ($3.99 or so at Disney), for goody bags we are giving a Disney book (I hate those little bags of trash haha). We will have pieces of pineapple shaped in Mickey heads along with a mixed fruit bowl. We will have a mickey head shaped cake (although I'm thinking about ordering a mickey cake from the bakery on the boardwalk).

We are going to decorate the room with quotes from different shows and pictures of Mickey and stuff.

In May, my daughter turns 4 and my son turns 3. We are going to have a Pirate and Princess party. Disney Princess & Pirates. I'm going to make some tutus and get some tiaras. We will put Disney nail polish in the goody bags for girls along with some other Disney Princess stuff that I can get at World of Disney. We will put eye patches and hooks and maybe a telescope or something in the boys goody bags. We will have 2 cakes - 1 for her, 1 for him. For hers, Publix has a really REALLY cute Princess shaped cake - its shaped like a castle and has the Disney Princess figurines on it. For his, we will get a pirate ship shaped cake. My dd will dress like a princess and my ds will dress like a pirate - and the invites will invite everyone to dress up (adults and kids). We will have a contest for the best looking princess and best looking pirate (that my kids cant win haha) But if they were older Id let them pick the winners haha.

Last year we did a Rainforest Cafe themed party - so not quite Disney but close haha. We went to Rainforest for all the supplies and all but we also added some Bindi The Jungle Girl stuff. At Rainforest we talked to the manager to see if we could buy some of those plastic kids cups and lids they use at the restaurant (we needed 17 for 16 kids) and he gave them to us for free!

We hung vines and leafy stuff from the arches in our house and then hung stuffed monkeys and snakes from the vines and stuff. We put stuffed animals everywhere - crocodiles, elephants, etc..

Since you aren't mentioning an age, this could be waaaaay off, but we did a joint birthday party in November for the kids' 4th with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The Dollar Store had TONS of MMC stuff for the gift bags. I just bought packs of primary colored bags and wrote each child's name on the outside. I made ears hat with plain hats at Hobby Lobby, some stiff felt for ears, and red and white polka dot ribbon for the girls' bows and used fabric paint to write their names on the hats.

I found Mickey Mouse pretzels at Kroger (in snack bags) and dipped them in colored melting chocolate and put them on top of cupcakes (I made 4 different flavors cake for the cupcakes, one for each kid) and rolled the edges of the icing in Mickey Mouse sprinkles. I put all the cupcakes on a cupcake stand.

We played Pin The Bow On Minnie Mouse using some of the wall stickers as the board to stick the bow on. Since most of the guests were 5 and under, this was a little crazy. Much less organized than I prefer, but the kids had a blast.

And I bought a MMC picture backdrop from The Disney Store online. I got balloons from ebay and we found MMC decorations in a party store.

HTH.
