A friend gave my DS one while we were in the park on his 4th birthday. I'd heard the mini-cake wasn't that good, but my DS enjoyed his, and he enjoyed all the trinkets inside the bucket.
I honestly don't know what the cost of all the items would be if you priced them out individually, maybe it isn't worth it in that aspect. But I do know that he was so surprised and thrilled to get that bucket in the restaurant! He actually took it around to other tables to show other patrons the contents inside. I was so embarrassed and tried to stop him, but people kept telling me it was OK and totally adorable, so I let him show 2 or 3 tables, then made him stop.
And you know what? Six months later he still has that bucket, still carries it around the house, filling it with all kinds of little treasures and "shows" them to us or to his stuffed animals.
It's a very happy memory from our last trip.
ETA: The toy in his Mickey Sorcerer bucket was a little beanie Mickey Sorcerer, really cute!
