Disney Billing Erros ?

I stayed at a Wingate Inn for business last September. It was almost $200. The charge was never billed to my card. I put the charge on my expense report right after the trip and my company pays Visa direct from the report, so it's been sitting in my account. The funny thing is they credited my Delta frequent flyer account for the miles about a week after. So they had a record of it.

My dh has a stroke every time he looks at my check book. I "round". He swears I am trying to kill him for the insurance money. As if it would be enough! :rolleyes1

I say we start the support group and meet, lets say once a month, at WDW!

Oh I say that support group is desparately needed and I LOVE youre idea of meeting at WDW. But we can't bring our dh's; if all these guys get together and start comparing notes and ideas, life will be unbearable (or should I say more unbearable???).

My dh has a controller backround as well. I used to keep an unrecorded amount of money as a cushion in the checking account (actually, it was secretly recorded in the very back, but not reflected in the balance). It drove him crazy every month. I finally had to call it my contra account. Once I gave it an "accounting term" he could live with it.

Hey, when you're an accountant you are of a certain mind-set all of the time. It happens and you have to live with it.

Do you know what it is like when your wife not only does not attempt to balance her checkbook, but even forgets to record check or debit card entries? AAAARRRRGH!

Actually, several years ago one of the major CPA firms had run an ad in the Wall Street Journal which had a sample financial statement in the ad. Due to a typographic error the arithmatic was off and it did not add correctly; they actually got hundreds of comments about their error!
