Disney Bells and Pixie Dust! Our Practically Perfect Vacation!*Thanks for reading!

Sorry, I'm a little late...

Great update. You know I LOVE that fried cheese. Megan's cupcake looks really good, too. Too bad she slept through the parade. I think she would have enjoyed it.

It is 72 degrees now! ;)

Um, Michelle, SHUT UP!!!! It's up to 25 degrees now thank you very much!:snooty:

It's cool to be a Disney nut now?
:woohoo: :woohoo:
Finally cool! Yay!

Are you sure? I still get some odd looks from people who realize my "secret"!

Hey! Are you OK? I read about your ordeal on Scott's report. Were you able to keep the car running to stay warm? How long were you stuck on the highway? Surprisingly, as cold as its been here we've barely had any snow! We're considered the Ohio Valley, and we miss alot of the yucky weather.:thumbsup2

Caught up again! This is a busy month for me but I always make time to check your TR.

Just one question.....Did I notice that Meagan had her finger in her nose for the first picture and then a picture or two later she had the same finger in the cupcake? I guess both were finger licking good! Just Kidding!:lmao: That reminds me of one time when Deavon was about that age and came running to me crying with her index finger in the air. I thought she smashed it so I did what any Mommy would do..l kissed her boo-boo. She looked at me and said " No....booger". Where's that barfing smilie?

I'm sorry you had a dull waiter. This was our third time going to 50's and each time the waiter (waitress) was successivly better. See ....you just need to go back.:goodvibes

Waiting for more.....popcorn::

Lynn

Thanks for pointing that out Lynn! Well, I'm not a germ-a-phobe mom and my kids are hardly ever sick so I guess the saying "Dirt don't hurt" is true!:rotfl: Megan has her finger up her nose 40% of the time! The boys are gonna love her!:lmao:

Hey everyone! Hunter's front teeth have been loose for a long time and we thought for sure he'd look like Dale at Disney. Well, here he is!
Christmas2007andJanuary2008254.jpg

The other one is loose, but it could be awhile. Just wanted to share a pic of my toothless boy!

 Owen looks exactly like that right now!

I'd take his picture but he's at Monster Jam! :thumbsup2

How old is he? He's younger than Hunter right? My friend's son is almost 8 and he just now lost his front tooth. Hunter just turned 6 and is on his 3rd tooth.

Cute picture of toothless Hunter - and he is wearing a Mickey shirt! :thumbsup2 What will the toothfairy bring?

Samantha started losing her teeth early - in Kindergarten. She is 7 years old and has lost 8 teeth!

Are you sure? I still get some odd looks from people who realize my "secret"!

Odd looks, huh? Are you sure you know why? :rolleyes1 "Secret," huh? :rotfl2:

BTW, that is too funny about Hunter and his tooth, because yesterday Michael lost his first tooth! I can't believe it! And now he's going to get the teeth that are 3 sizes too big for his face! He'll probably be 15 before his face grows into his teeth!

I've got a picture but can't upload right now. Just thought that was ironic! Oh, and he's 6, will be 7 in 2 months, and this is his first lost tooth!

I'm going to go cry now!

Yay! we met! that was so cool, one of the highlights of my trip, I was so hoping to run into another Dis'er. Those shirts really are awesome!

I agree with you about those bathrooms, I felt like I was at a truck stop.

Love the picture of the sleeping little one, she's so precious.

Oh, yeah. It really wasn't that big of a deal, and I really wasn't scared when it was happening. Thank goodness no 18 wheelers were coming down the other lane, though, cause I was facing backwards in that lane at one point.:scared1: I actually didn't go that far into the ditch, just far enough to get my whole car off the road and completely stuck. I have a standard, so it did stall when it hit the snow, but it started right back up. Some nice man in a pickup truck stopped and pulled me out. Thank goodness for good Samaritans!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

He loves that shirt and would wear it everyday if he could! He got 4 quarters. He was very excited!

Yahoo! Good for Hunter, he can start his college fund

Right now he puts all of his money towards his fundraiser. He had to read 300 minutes in 2 weeks. He gets to pick out Usbourne books with half of the money and the other half we use to buy groceries for the local food pantry. Then on Valentines Day we will drop off the groceries and work at the food pantry for a couple of hours. He insists on giving all of his money! He is so sweet. (Most of the time!) Remind me to tell you guys about his HUGE TEMPER TANTRUM that he through in the restaurant Thursday. It was AWFUL and EMBARRASSING! Isn't he a little old for that? Oops, off topic! What if I say, "Hunter! No Disney for you!" (Insert soup natzi voice!)

Thanks Sara! At least I don't wear peeing Mickey shirts!:rolleyes1 (Check out her TR!) Maybe people stare because I've got a 6 yr old throwing a tantrum and 2 yr old with her finger up her nose!:rotfl:

Yeah, seeing ours kids losing teeth is sad. Hunter's baby/little kid lood is pretty much gone.:sad1: He told me the other day that I'm his favorite mom. I said, "I'm your only mom." He said, "I have my stepmom". I'm like WHAT?! He said, oh yeah a stepmom is if Daddy divorces you and gets remarried"! I can't believe he knows about that stuff! I asked Dave what he's been telling Hunter!:lmao: They know too much too early these days.:sad2:

Hey Ty! It was so great meeting you and your crew! We loved our shirts. I even made Hunter a second one just to have.

Oh good. I was picturing you stuck for hours! Glad you're OK. Those semis are scarey! Good thing you found some kindness!

So how many people are going to take that government tax releif check and plan a Disney trip?:rotfl:

That is great! You are teaching him well Momma! :)

LOL! Please tell! Samantha has never been a big temper tantrum kind of girl but last year she pulled a doozie. We were at the party supply store getting things for her party and at the check out line she started having a fit. I can't even remember what it was about but she was screaming, jumping up and down and trying to pull thinigs out of the bag - totally out of control! I was so embarrassed and there was no way to calm her down. It was awful.

Great idea! So when are you going?? ;)

Thanks.:flower3: Sorry that happened to you, but so glad to hear I'm not the only one! Hunter's not a tantrum thrower either. We were having lunch with mom, aunt, uncle, me, Hunter and Meg. He was drinking Sprite. He ate all of his cheese quesidillia. I told him since he's not eating meat he neede to either eat some of my rice or try a bite of refried beans. (The bite I had ready had a ton of cheese and hardly any beans.) He refused so I took away his Sprite which I rarely let him order. He had a screaming fit! "SPRITE! SPRITE!" Maybe I should have let him have it to calm the scene, but I really try not to give in to horrible behavior like this. I know my family thought that I should have just given in. It was so embarrassing. My mom took him out to the car so I could finish eating. I was just going to leave, but he was throwing himself back in his chair! He finally tried the bite of beans in his hysterics, then almost threw up! I was SO MAD!!! :headache: This is a teaching lesson for me not to judge other parents which I'm bad about! The best behaved kid can have horrible moments! BTW, he had one of these on our trip! Stay tuned!

So Hunter is still not eating meat? I've been meaning to ask you about that.

I guess every kid has their moments. I am the same way with being too judgemental sometimes - I often think "why can't these parents control their bratty kid?". Then I remember Samantha's lovely incident and have empathy for the parents. When they get like that it is just impossible to talk any sense in to them - just have to let them ride it out. Even now when I bring up the party store incident to Samantha she deny's it!

What a coinky-dink - my son doesn't eat meat, either. Well, unless you count pepperoni, bacon, and hot dogs. Yeah, that's good for him.

What time is it? It’s FANTASMIC time baby! Woo Hoo!!!:cool1: I LOVE Fantasmic! It started at 6:30 on this night so we had to head over after we ate with no time to squeeze in another attraction. So, lets take a tally on what we’ve accomplished. Tower of Terror, Mickey head ice cream, Beauty and the Beast show, pin trading/shopping, Great Movie Ride, parade/Star Tours, and eat at Prime Time. That’s it! So we head over to the best show ever and they are already letting people in. We decide to grab fast passes for Rock N Roller first. The return time was 6:30-7:30. We go into the theater around 5:45. I know it’s a long time to wait, but the time goes by quick, and we don’t wait this long for anything else so it’s OK. There was a steady stream of people coming in, and it filled up fast. I brought out the $1 Target glow sticks and started cracking them and making bracelets and necklaces for the kids. This really helped pass the time! I talked with a lady in front of us who gave me tips on Disney. I smiled politely. She did tell me a lot about the different resorts. I think they had stayed everywhere! They actually didn’t like AKL because she said it’s too far away from everything else. Here we are waiting for the show. And now you’ll find out our dirty little secret. Megan still takes a pacifier! I hate the thing, but she is very attached to it and I was not about to take it away right before we drove 16 hours to Disney, then packed 5 people in a room to sleep! She only gets it to sleep. This helped her tolerate the wait. Dave’s pushing me to take it away, but I’m dreading it!

The show started and there was a lot I didn’t remember. I don’t care if its crowded and takes a little patience to exit. It is totally worth it. I sat there thinking, “I can’t believe we’re finally here!” (Yes, I teared up, again!) I love this show. It is a little scarey, but my kids also LOVED it! Hunter said it was his favorite thing. (Bye bye Star Tours!) Megan was fascinated. If you haven’t seen it, you have to try it once. Sorry, no pictures. Too mesmerized, and they wouldn’t do it justice anyway!

When it was over we slowly made our way out to the stroller parking. After we picked up the stroller the crowd spread out on the big path and it didn’t seem too bad. Our FP time was getting ready to expire so we were trying to get over there quick. We got to RNR and headed in. The FP wait was minimal. Then we get to the ride and I watch it take off. Am I seriously going to put my baby on that? We hold Hunter up so he can watch it take off. I wanted him to know what he was getting himself into! He still wanted to do it. We usually give him a choice of who he wants to ride with, but this time I told him he was riding with me! We get on, and as I watch him lower the shoulder harness down over his body I really start to wonder what kind of mom puts her child on a ride like this?! He looked so small. The harness swallowed him up! We pull up to the launch pad, and I didn’t know what was the signal to take off so I kept telling him, “Keep your head back, keep your head back”. I couldn’t see him so I kept my hand on his leg. Then we got the signal and we took off! It seriously takes your breath away! It’s so dark and you don’t know where you’re going and it’s almost hard to tell when you go upsidedown! I kept thinking that Hunter could be crying hysterically and I wouldn’t even know it because of the music. I just kept patting his leg. When it was over I looked over and he was a little white and not really smiling. I think he was in shock! He said he liked it, but he didn’t even realize that we went upsidesown. Now he tells everyone that it was his favorite ride. Dave and I loved it. There is a similar ride at Kings Island so we were familiar with the concept. So Rock N Roller Coaster gets two thumbs up!

Next up was the Osbourne Lights. The park seemed pretty empty by now. They were scheduled to close at 8:00. We round the corner. There’s were everyone was! It was packed! However, it makes sense that it would feel crowded because it's just a dead end street! We stood at the opening and watched the dancing light show. When it was over we decided to attempt to navigate down the road. Once you get into the crowd it doesn’t feel too bad. The lights were very pretty. I’m glad we didn’t skip them. What's the difference between real snow and Disney's fake snow? Well, real snow doesn't burn when you get in in your eye! This stuff was GROSS! It clumped and my eye stung for quite awhile. The side street was pretty empty so we stood there for awhile to watch the dancing lights again and of course, my kids had to dance!

It was closing time. We headed towards the hat. Took some pictures. Mom bought Megan a Minnie Mouse hat and Hunter a Tigger soccer pin. She gave it to him and told him that he wasn’t allowed to trade it. I had bought him some ride pins and told him the same thing. There’s just some pins that you don’t trade! We got a Photopass pic in front of the tree on our way to the buses. This is when the Photopass Cms were their busiest. We didn’t even attempt to get a pic at the lights because the lines were so long. Again, I don’t remember the bus ride back. I vaguely remember Hunter getting in trouble and sitting on a bench crying before we left the park. He just didn’t understand why we had to leave each night. He wasn’t comprehending the whole “they’re closed” thing! He said we hadn’t done much which really aggravated me. I really struggle with the whole ungrateful thing. I know he’s only 6, but it’s hard not to get frustrated! Oops, sorry. Got off track for a moment! Ok, fit over. On bus. This night is a little fuzzy. I think this is the night that my kids entertained the bus! All the other kids were crashed. My kids were singing and dancing on the bus! We decided to check out the store. (I think)Since my picture time stamp says that I took a picture of the hat at 8:00 and a picture of Hunter in the room at 10:00, I’m thinking this is right. We walked back to the room from the store. It’s quite a walk and Megan fell asleep in the stroller 1 minute before we got to the room. We found this in our room:

***Bonus Pictures***
This is our window. I made the Disney window clings. They look really transparent off the paper so I wasn’t sure how’d they look, but they turned out great!

This is the kids our first morning. We hung up their stockings and every night Tinkerbell came to visit and leave them a treat. They got Disney jammies the first day.

Next up: After months of anticipation Hunter FINALLY meets the Yeti and Megan becomes OBSESSED!

Great update Monica - love all the pictures once again!

The picture of Dave and Hunter at Fantasmic is one of my favorites - very cute!

This is how my friend got rid of the paci - her daughter was obsessed with Disney so she told her that the admission to get into Disney was her pacifier. The daughter had to throw the paci in the trash outside the gates before she could go in. It worked! :)

I get teary at Fantasmic too - just love it. Another dream job for me would be to play the part of Sorcerer Mickey in Fantasmic. If only I were shorter and skinnier....

I was laughing at your RnR paragraph - I am feeling the exact same way about Samantha riding in Feb. She is so excited to try and I keep trying to explain it to her. I've already warned her to keep her head back before take off. Glad Hunter liked it. How was the ride picture - did he look terrified?

Megan has the cutest big smile! :)

I forgot you were doing the Tinkerbell stockings - I'm sure that was a big hit!
