Disney Bells and Pixie Dust! Our Practically Perfect Vacation!*Thanks for reading!

Great update!! The window decorations are really nice. I know what you mean about the pacifier - I was able to bribe my girls to get rid of theirs when they were about 2 1/2, but DS needs to get rid of his and it is so hard the dentist said I had 6 months to get rid of it and it has been 3 - I have started to only give it to him at night time but I really need to get rid of it all together. Its just so hard. I love fantasmic it is great - have you ever tried the fantismic dinner package you don't have to get there so early.

Michelle: The problem is that Megan's not old enough to get that kind of reasoning. She just knows that she needs it to sleep.:confused3

I don't remember the picture much, but I think it was hard to see him!

Charlene: I've been meaning to ask you when they turned 2. She really only gets it for nap and night time. She know shes not allowed to have it if she's out of her bed.

The Fantasmic package just doesn't appeal to me. The restaurants don't seem to get good reviews, the menus don't appeal to me, the seating doesn't seem that great either. It just didn't seem that neccessary this trip.

Luke turned two in October - My girls are 7 and they didn't have any problems with the paci - but it is starting to cause Luke some problems, it is just so hard because he is such a monster without it.

Great update! At least megan was smiling under that pacifier. This is why I am not a mom, I would NEVER be able to take that away. It's not like she 10 (which yes I have seen at Disney before )
Was this your first time on RRC? I really enjoy this ride too.
I'm so glad you made it to Osborne lights!
The window clings are simply amazing! I don't think I have heard of anyone else making those.

Don't be such a slacker we want more soon.:lmao:

I love the family picture in front of the MGM tree, very pretty.

I agree with you about Fantasmic, it is definitely worth the wait and crowds. It was my favourite show at Disney.

Yes, it was our first time on RNRC. We liked it alot, but it wasn't the best thing ever like some people think. Maybe because we'd done the similar thing at Kings Island except that the one at KI goes upsidesown many times and it has hills.

EXCUSE ME?! I'm trying to average every other day. Did you notice that it took me 3 installments to get me through a day when we didn't even do much?! I'll be writing this thing well into summer!:lmao:

I know! Fantasmic is awesome! Kaysmommie said they don't care for it much! I'd protest her report if she wasn't finished! (JK!) Everyone has their opinions. I don't think Wishes is as spectacular as everyone else. A major radio station in Cincinnati puts on a fireworks display every Labor Day down on the river. It lasts at least 30 minutes and they are AWESOME. So Wishes to us is just OK.

Monica, great update and great pictures!

Don't sweat the pacifier thing! She just turned 2! She'll be fine. Of course, I have no real advice on how to actually wean a child from it, as Michael was my only one to use one, and I never knew they had different sizes so he had a size 0-6 months the whole time and at 8 months he just got rid of it on his own! I guess it just didn't fit in his mouth anymore! It was great - complete ignorance saved me! :thumbsup2

My sister's girls all used a pacifier well past 2 and are just fine! The fact that you limit it is what's important - some moms just let them walk around with it in their mouths all the time! :confused3

That's awesome that Hunter rode RNRC. Michael wasn't quite tall enough - thank goodness, because I don't think I would have been brave enough! I guess Shawn just would have taken him, but still Mommy would have been worried to death that he would fall out of the harness or something! :scared1:
We loved the lights - so much fun! Love the photopass pic in front of the tree!

And the Tinkerbell stockings and window clings - you da man! :worship: Awesome job!

Can't wait for more!

Sara

LOL, I have set a goal for myself to be done by the next cruise in Sept :lmao:
That may be stretching it a bit!

Fantastic installment, I loved the pictures, the writing is great as usual. We love Fantasmic too, although I get teary-eyed at Wishes, I just get that "I can't believe I am in front of the castle at WDW" feeling, it just overwhelms me.

I can't wait to see what Megan is obsessed about popcorn::.

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,
Hope that helps! ;)

please tell me you copied and pasted. trying to get caught up, chatties!

Monica, I wouldn't worry about Megan's pacifier too much. I think as long as you limit it gradually she will become less attached. My oldest threw his pacifier at me in the car at age 10 months and never took it again, but was seriously attached to his bottle near bedtime until well over 2. I had to cut LARGE holes in several of the nipples and told them they were broken- a concept he had just learned. Oops, I never told him I began lying to him at age 2........:lmao:

I have enjoyed this latest update and your photos are great again! Did you use a special setting to capture the great shots of the Christmas lights or do you just have a super camera?

Okay, I'll ask..........how did you make the window clings? :confused3 Are there special kits for printers?

Don't sweat the binkies. The twins ended up mailing their binkies to a new cousin (no....I didn't actually mail them! Gross!) when they were over 3). Now, this little one thinks they are toys. Sometimes I wish he would take one. Shoot....sometimes I wish I could plug the 5 year olds with them!

Thanks everyone on the binkie advice!

KARI!!! 3 DAYS!!!!!! Let me jump up and down for you!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Lisa: I used a crayola window cling kit. All you do is arrange your clip art in Word, then print ont he special paper. Very easy.

My camera is pretty good. Its a Cannon SD (I think:rolleyes1) I just put it on night shot.

How old is he? He's younger than Hunter right? My friend's son is almost 8 and he just now lost his front tooth. Hunter just turned 6 and is on his 3rd tooth.

Wow... I didn't dis all weekend! What the heck did I do all weekend? :confused3

Anyway... my boys are a little older than Hunter actually... they'll be 7 in April. This was also Owen's 3rd lost tooth. The other front one is loose too and I keep telling him to wiggle it more so that they will both be missing at the same time! The things we do for a photo op!

Back to Disney... great update! I'm glad that Hunter loved RNRC! Our kids had no interest in trying it at all which is fine with me as I do not do "upside down"! :crazy2:

Lovin' the window clings! :thumbsup2

Animal Kingdom

Goals for the day:
Do everything! We love this park, and want to see as much as possible

Must dos:
Expedition Everest
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo show
Meet Characters
Dinoland
Safari

Finally the day had come. It’s Yeti day! Hunter had been talking about Expediton Everest for months, and was so excited that the day was finally here. I set the alarm for 6:30 and set the wake up call for 8:00. That way Hunter would already be up and could hear it. We woke him up at 7:30 by yelling “Yeti, Yeti, Yeti, Yeti!!!” He answered the wake up call, and wasn’t too impressed so I didn’t bother with it the rest of the trip! We were going to try our best to make rope drop. More because I really wanted to see the opening with the characters, etc. We had a quicky in room breakfast. Here’s Megan in the aftermath of a powdered donut!

We got to AK at 9:00. Just missed everything! Oh well, it’s still early. We headed towards EE stopping along the way to look at a wolf spider that one of the handlers had in a container. I remained patient trying not to go into commando mode yelling, “Let’s go!” Mom snapped some pics along the way and of course we had to stop for Photopass. I did this in the A.M because that’s when my hair looked good. After an hour I had it pulled back!
Isn't it Spectacular?!

The posted wait time for EE was like 5 minutes which again meant “walk time”. This was the first time we used Child Swap. You get a ticket that allows 3 people to get back on so my mom could keep Megan, then ride when we got off without waiting in line. We loved this and used it many times. So first up was Hunter, Dave and me. I think I rode with Hunter, but I’m not sure. LOVED IT!!! ***SPOILER*** That Yeti is HUGE! You know in your head that he’s not going to get you, but there is a brief moment that you’re not sure! So cool. Again, Hunter seemed a little in shock when we got off, but he wanted to do it again! So I took Megan and my mom went off with the boys. I sat down on a big rock and continued the conversation my mom had started with a lady waiting for her family. Again, another nice Disney family. She asked me how big the Yeti was, and then her DH confirmed. BIG and HAIRY! I went into the store and picked out a hat for Dave. When they got off Hunter was hooked. He wanted to ride again! We bought the hat a 2 pair of sunglasses. We had forgot to bring Dave’s and mine were missing. We checked the wait time. It was up to 20 minutes so we said we’d come back later.

We decided to head over to the Festival of the Lion King show. It was 10:00 and I think it started at 10:25. Dave heard a CM say that the Pocahontas show was starting and there was time to catch it, then get seats for the Festival. “Are you sure?” I asked. It seemed to be pushing it since I know that it fills up, but we went into Pocahontas. Hunter sat in the front row with his disposable camera and apparently, really liked it because he took a bunch of pictures. Megan was in awe! We like this show. It’s cute and short. Hunter likes the animals.

Has the little tree always had a face?

We left the theater and headed into Festival. Again, only ¾ full. We took a seat towards the back so we could spread out and Hunter and Megan could see. This is my mom’s favorite Disney attraction. She LOVES this show and has the CD that she bought last trip. We could never skip this show. It was fabulous as usual.
Not the best picture, but being a tumble monkey is my dream Disney job!

Camp Minnie Mickey was crowded with the show crowds so my DIS knowledge kicked in. It was 11:00 so we decided to avoid the crowd and eat an early lunch. Pizzafari was the choice. I had heard about the theme rooms and the animal murals so I wanted Hunter to see it. We ordered, then I took the kids to get a table. Well, I should say room! We picked the room we wanted and it was empty! I think we were in a rainforest room. We LOVED this place! Mom and I got the chicken parmesean sandwich with grapes and chips. Super yummy! Dave got the hot Italian sub which he said was very good. Hunter got PB&J, applesauce, and jello. We all got frozen lemonade for a dessert. We will definitely come back. I could go for one of those sandwiches right now! After we ate we explored the rooms and took some pictures.

We decided to head back over to the character trails. We spotted Lilo and Stitch and quickly got in line. Before the trip Megan really got into Stitch. However, so far she had only seen the mice on this trip. She kept saying, “Stitch” as we waited in line and watched him the whole time. Our turn! She was very apprehensive, but Stitch made her feel welcome. She cautiously pet his paw, and he played peek-a-boo, but she made sure I was close by. She caught on quickly with her autograph book and posing for the pictures and by the time we were done she was hooked! Meeting characters became her obsession.

Next up: “That Duck just tried to eat my kid!” and my prize winning picture of a rhino butt!

Awesome! I loved it! That last pic of Megan with her autograph book... so cute!

We love Pocahontas! The little tree had a face the first time we went 4 years ago, I am pretty sure.

We also liked Pizzafari a lot and will eat there again. We did the same thing: ate early and had the place to ourselves. We sat in the room all the way to the back and after he got our food and managed to find us Tom said, "Gee, could you have gotten farther away from the cash register?" We said, "Ummm... no!" :lmao:

Your update was much more fun than the state of the union address! :thumbsup2

I absolutely love this update!! You have the most beautiful pictures, what great memories!! The family photopass was amazing. I loved the one with Simba and Hunter, but this one is my absolute favorite so far!!

She looks like she is really concentrating!!

Monica, I can not even express how much I am enjoying this TR. It is fantastic!!

I love that picture!

Um, thanks, I think! I take it the Demacrats are on the right. Everytime Bush says something the people to his left stand and clap and the people on the right just sit there. It's pretty funny!

You guys all look great in that first photopass picture. :thumbsup2

Love the pics of Megan with the powdered donut face and the autograph book - very cute! Does she have her ears pierced or were those stickers in the first picture?

We've never seen the Pocahontas show - was that a real racoon?

Great update as usual! :)

I'm very happy with our pics, but I wish we had even more! We just were so wiped out sometimes we just forgot about the camera!

Tracy, you are so sweet! Thank you!
