Hi ganurse,
I saw this post and thought I would reply. Yes, when we received our returning cruiser gift on the Jan '03 Magic and Feb '04 Wonder, the towels were identical.
We also got pins, but I am not a collecter and don't remember if they were the same.

The Castaway Club towel has been the same one for about 2 years now.
The DCL towels that you can buy onboard in the shops do change a lot. Some are some constants but they always introduce new ones. They also have a new "dated" one 2002, 2003, 2004, etc. every year.
