If you're referring to the tags for DME, then yes, you will need to put the tags on your luggage before you check-in for your flight. When you arrive in Orlando, if you have already cleared US customs in Canada, you can bypass the luggage pick-up carousel and proceed directly to the DME counter. Your luggage will automatically be transferred to your Disney resort about 2 to 3 hours after you check-in a the resort. Just remember to bring in your carry-on bag anything you might need before your luggage arrives.

Have a great trip!

:confused3 Okay I just received the same tags and I was wondering the same thing.
Now is that a good thing that you don't pick up your own luggage, what if one gets missed? Can I pick up my own luggage if I want to?

If you want to, you can pick up your luggage and then bring it with you to the DME check-in desk on the lower level. The perk to DME is not having to trek your luggage on your own. Of course, if you don't clear customs in Canada (i.e. before arriving in Orlando), you'd need to pick up all of your luggage to clear customs there and then proceed to the DME.

If you don't bring your luggage, they'll ask you how many pieces they should look for when you arrive at the DME check-in. They might ask for colour and type (there's a chart for you to use in identifying it) so it's easier for them to find the luggage. The key, though, is to use the DME tags only if you intend to leave your luggage for DME to pick-up. Do not use the tags if you intend to pick up your luggage, or you'll be wasting your time waiting at the carousel for them to come out.

Admittedly, I'm a bit of a control freak so I was nervous leaving my luggage to DME to pick-up; however, I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly and efficiently it was handled. I was on a tight schedule so I checked in at my resort, freshened up quickly, and then left to make my dinner ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern. By the time I returned that evening, around 9:30 pm, my luggage was already placed in my room. That made me a believer! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your reply.
One other question, in my package I got it says that the DME bus will pick u up 3 hours before your flight on departure day, is there any way to go later? 3 hours is too early! Also do I leave those tags on for the way back home?

Do you have a direct flight from Newfoundland or do you have a conecting flight? If you have a conecting flight I would not put the tags on the bags until you are on your final flight segment to Orlando (after clearing customs)

The tags are not required for the trip back to MCO. You need to bring the bags with you on the bus. Do not think you can take the coach later. The bus may stop at other resorts on the way to the airport

You'll need to call and confirm your DME pick-up at least 24 hours before your departure. When I called, I was informed that my pick-up time would be 4 hours prior to my flight since flying to Canada is considered an international flight. I was lucky that my DME bus had no other stops after CSR so it was straight to MCO on the return segment. (If you'd prefer to leave later, then you'll need to get a cab to the airport and cancel your DME pick-up.)

You don't need to keep the tags on since you'll have to bring your luggage with you to the bus, and pick it up when you are dropped off at MCO.
