Disney Aulani resort at seven months ???

Is that possible to book Aulani during summer at the seven month window???

I did it. It was Aulani's first summer, so that might have helped out a bit. I still didn't get exactly what I wanted a 2 bedroom OV dedicated ended up with a 2br lock off OV. I called at exactly 7 months at 9am ET. (before online system). Got 6 nights in July.

We got Aulani 7 months out for August this year (can't believe its over already ). My advice it to be flexible and don't count on the least point value rooms to be there. They go first for obvious reasons.

I have noticed the last two years that if people wanted to reserve either Standard or Island view at the 7 month mark in June for the dates that are in the choice season, many could not get all of the dates they wanted. And a number of people couldn't get Standard view at all. Cheap points means the points very popular with DVC homeowners and as well as members and they go quick.

We went in June and it was amazing! We booked 9 nights in an ocean view studio in March. We got 5 of our nights right away, and waitlisted the others. They came through within 2 weeks. Our backup plan was to pay cash for the nights we couldn't get.

We tried to book the first two weeks on June and weren't successful. We were able to get in July 4th week. My best advice is to read up on all the ins and outs of booking online. I would practice a few times and only book with you on the reservation to save time. Online opens early than the phone lines. Also, we sure you call on the 7 day mark. I missed it for the June time frame, so we ended up going in July. We were able to get a 1 bdr std view. The studios are small, so I would do it again in a heartbeat. Enjoy!

I booked a three bedroom grand villa at 7 months, stayed there this past July. we were flexible about our dates.

The ocean view will probably be the easiest to get because it is the highest points. We had hoped for a lesser view this past August but took the ocean view. 1br. Because it was the only room available at. 7 months.

booked at 7 months for next April... Almost every size/view was available.

Book early as soon as it opens up! W went in June but had it get a OV one bedroom which was fine we didn't mind splurging since we were getting married on Oahu!

Now that the resort is fully completed, more rooms should be available to book. What are the more popular room types? Standard view, island view? I am hoping 1 bedrooms are more available at 7 mos. That's what I need to book.

All of Aulani's DVC villas have been completed since late 2012. The number of completed villas is not as important as the percentage of points that have been declared for the DVC inventory. The percentage of villas that can be booked on any given Use Day by members using points cannot exceed the percent declared for the inventory.

Unlike WDW and East Coast DVC resorts, I can't track the percentage of Aulani that has been declared for the DVC inventory. Nor do I know when DVD made the most recent declaration for Aulani.
