Hello all!

My kids' school is having an auction to raise money. They are asking people to donate themed baskets. i was thinking, "Hmmmm...what should I do?" Then I thought, "Why a Disney basket, of course!" So now the question is what do I put inside? Since the auction is in May and many people go to Disney during the summer, maybe I can do a "Getting Ready for your Disney Trip" basket. Maybe a guide book or two. I thought of putting a few Disney dollars in there, but now that the Disney stores around me are closed, don't know where I can get those. Maybe I can put in some Disney DVDs or maybe some Disney stamps...all to set the mood. But I need some help thinking...anyone have any ideas? And remember, cost is a factor...
Oh...does anyone know where I can get those ears that go on the car antenna?

Thoughts?

I don't really know what the price limit is but even at discount stores you can find alot of disney theme related things, photo alblums, journals, toys etc. I was in Big Lots today and saw disney stuff, my $1 even had huge mickey and princess pops, little plastic nemo, pooh and minnie purses. , but I dont like to shop but I bought some stuff at disney for our pet sitter and siblings one year and I added stuff I got from the cheap store at home. I ripped the tags off of everything and honestly they didnt know the difference from what I got in the parks versus what I got at the local store. You have a great idea and it should be alot of fun. Maybe a guide, photo alblum, instant camera for little ones to take pic, etc. Good luck. My dh tried to win me a disney basket at his job too but no luck. He said it had stuffed minnie and mickey in it etc.

someone posted that Target had a mickey Popcorn popper on clearance for 9.98. maybe you could get a that, some un popped popcorn, a disney bowl, and a disney movie and make a Movie Basket. you could also add some disney candy. you could probably get the who thing for under 30 if you can find a cheap movie ( walmart had some older movies for 2 for $10)

I think the idea of a Disney Movie Night basket is GREAT!! Our Dollar Store has a package of cardboard popcorn boxes and that would be cute to add to the popcorn popper, movie and candy.

Along the same lines you could do a Disney themed GAME NIGHT basket. Toys R Us has several Disney games including a Magic Kingdom game, Disney Trivia, Disney SORRY, etc. Again you could include candy, drinks and snacks.

This Christmas I did a Breakfast Basket for Sunday School teachers, etc. I included panckae mix, pancake molds, pancake syrup, a silicone spatula, etc. I used Christmas pancake molds from Williams Sonoma, but there are Dinsey egg/pancake molds available. OR the Disney Mickey Waffle maker would be great if it fits into your budget for the basket.

Have fun!
