We took our DS when he had just turned 3 and he had so much fun. I've never seen him so excited about everything. But after a few months he didn't remember anything about the trip.
We went again when he was 4.5 and he whinned and complained about everything the entire time. He had fun, but not like he did on the previous trip.

We have been with kids at both of those ages and I really think three years old is the most magical time. Potty trained or not, this has never made a difference to me. I think it is easier to go in diapers rather than when they are fairly newly trained. One of my DSs didn't finish training until 3.5 and we went when he was 4 and it was horrible. He had difficulty holding it at all and we were forever rushing to a bathroom. My DD was 2.5 on our last trip and she really and truly believes in everything. I nearly cried when she met the princesses for the first time.

I was just thinking that even if she is PT, we'll probably put her in a Pull Up anyway, Nothing worse than standing in line and then having to go potty at the last minute!

Since she has a big sister, she already knows all of the Princesses. princess: She loves the Playhouse Disney shows, and she is not fearful of anyone. She absolutely worships Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ::MickeyMo and Little Einsteins. We went to WDW for my older dd's 5th birthday (which was truly magical for her.) My little one was just 18 months, but she loves to look at the pictures and she indicates that she wants to see everyone again.

So this may end up being an every other year event, and then she'd be 5 for the next trip. :cheer2:

If you can wait the extra year, and believe me I know how hard that can be, do it. We went when our youngest was basically the same ages 2 years in a row, and she enjoyed the second trip much better. She was more well behaved and got soooooo much more out of the experience being a year older. After the first trip she never even talked about the trip, but after the second trip, she hasn't stopped talking about it still! She remembers so much and keeps bugging me to go back ASAP.:cheer2:
