Hi all,
So....I have booked the Grand Floridian Oct 12 for our wedding :woohoo:through Disney direct and the price includes 2 14-day ultimate Disney tickets (to qualify for Disney dining).
As we are getting married at Disney we already get 2 annual tickets included anyway i believe? So these extra tickets wont be required.
What i was wondering was, will we be able to give these extra tickets to our guests for them to use? I understand the normal ticket will be given with our key to the world but is it possible to register the annual pass in someone elses name? I doubt we would afford to go back again within the 12 months so that wouldnt be a problem for us. :confused3 Thank you

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think you can give the annual passes to someone else. They give you a voucher that you turn in to get the pass. However, the vouchers never expire so you could always just use your Disney tickets and just hold on to your annual pass vouchers, and then the next time you are able to come down to Disney, exchange your vouchers for the AP.

Weeee!!! Where in the Lakes are you? I live in Tirril, a little village between Penrith and Lake Ullswater!!!
I am so happy to meet a local disbride and hear of your plans!! I thought I was the only Disser in these parts (not to mention disbride) so I am all excitement
I had my VR in May. Feel free to check out my PJ/TR - link in my signature.
As regards to your question, I agree that if I were you, I would hang on to the voucher for the next trip. There is always another trip in the pipeline isn't there!!!

Aww lovely i didnt realise you were on here!! :thumbsup2 Very small world! We live in barrow in furness, about 20mins from Windermere. I will definitely have a read of your TR, im sure any tips/advice i can get will come in very handy, it can be hard work planning things from this far away!! x

Arr shoot, I was hoping we would be nearer and be able to meet for coffee or something. I never get to Barrow. If you are ever my end of Cumbria, please pm me and come for coffee!!
Yes, it can be difficult planning from so far away, but IMHO so worth it. Our recent VR was the best day of our lives and it will live in our hearts forever!!
If I can be any help to you at all, don't hesitate to ask!!! I'd be only too honoured to help in any way I can!!

The annual passes are printed in your and your groom's name, we had to show ID in order to redeem them - I am not sure, however, what the rules are for transferring them. You can just wait to redeem them at a later date as they do not expire. So, you could take advantage of the discount you mentioned for your wedding, then for your next trip back to WDW redeem them :thumbsup2

Great, thank you very much, i will bear you very much in mind when we are on our travels!! Im sure there will be plenty of things i get stuck on along the way! Do you mind me asking how many guests you took over? Did you book flights and accomodation seperately? We have booked villas but i am now stressing about getting flights for us all:scared1:

Thank you, i suppose its always worth an ask if we can transfer them. If not we will have to squeeze in another Disney trip sometime :cool1:

Fonz86 - what is your real name?
There were 14 of us altogether (including DH and I).
I own DVC and so for the first week, I used points to pay for everybody's accommodation at BLT or AKV (my friends with children stayed at AKV as it is more exciting for the kids) and we all paid to add the dining plan to our DVC reservations. The second week we booked everybody in to PORS with passes and free dining through Disney UK (we didn't pay for that - everybody paid for their own!!).
The flights were the first thing we booked. We had some guests flying from Manchester and some from Gatwick. We all flew Virgin and each family booked their own flights. Luckily we managed to arrange it so as we all flew into Orlando within a few hours of one another. I booked the DVC villas at about the same time as we booked the flights as I can book at 11 months out due to my owning at both resorts. The second week package, we booked last. I had a list of resorts in which we were happy to stay (I figured if we didn't get one, we would get something else). Luckily, we got our first choice!! I had always wanted to stay at Riverside and I loved it there.
It was our first time of using the DP and I have to say that we loved it!! We had the regular dining plan (the QSDP was free with our stay at PORS, but we paid to upgrade) and we thought it was excellent value for money!! We will definitely use it again for next year's trip. We will be going the end of October (want to catch MNSSHP and F&W). We will be too late for your wedding :sad2: It would have been great fun to come and have a sneeky peek at it!!!
What are the details of your wedding? Do spill, I would love to know - I am very nosey!!!
Much love sweetie

Linzi pattinson -to be Northcott- (fonz is my pooch's name!lol)
You have made it sound soooo easy!! How did you find keeping everyone happy whilst you were there?
Well...so far we have 2 villas booked (1 for my guests, 1 for his) grand floridian booked for us 2 from 10th Oct 12, so im hoping to get us all on the same flight - i will be on edge when they come on sale!!!
We are hoping for the wedding pavillion on 12th Oct late afternoon followed by Mickey&Minnie at cake cutting, meal at citricos (any opinions??) then fireworks cruise. Obviously all ifs and buts at the moment until we can book! Hoping for what we want is all we can do at the moment! :worship:
