Disney Announces New Premier Passport

I too was very suprised at the paper AP. A few years ago we got AP for Wild Adventures in Valdosta GA and they were like a credit card with your pic on the back. I am scared that something will happen to my WDW AP sice its just paper.

Yeah, I hate the paper. We have to have them reprinted every other time or so that we go, and we go a few times a month. We don't keep them anywhere near our cell phones so I'm not sure if the strip rubs in DH's wallet or what.

Just got it at Disneyland! Already had a Disneyland Deluxe Pass and I'm going to Disney World for the week in the summer.

I was the second person at Disneyland to get it!

It's gold, slightly glimmery.

No picture on it, but it has both a biometric swipe and a barcode.

Cost me 420 after I upgraded.

Pretty good deal considering now I'm a premium holder at Disneyland!

Can't wait!!!!

I have a Premium DLR Annual Pass that I bought Dec. 27th, 2009. I am going to DLR April 5th. If I upgrade to the Premier Pass would the expiry date be
Dec. 27th 2010 or April 5th 2011??? We are planning a trip to WDW July and Dec., so it would really be worth it if it was good until April 2011. Thanks for any help.

I have the same question as you. I also have a premium pass to DL that I bought in June 2009, and i would like to upgrade to the premier pass before I go to WDW in a few weeks.

But when I read the blog on the Disney Blog website http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...er-passport-unveiled/comment-page-2/#comments on comment #63, its said that the expiration date will be the same date on your DLR annual pass.

I also have another question if I pay for the upgrade from the premium pass at DL to the premier pass for both resorts, and when my pass expires in June 2010, do I have to pay another full price on the premier or it is deducted from the first payment of the premier pass?

So by my understanding then my Premier Pass would expire on Dec. 27th, 2010. Which would not work for my Dec 2010 trip, but it would for my July trip...now decisions, decisions.....

I usually get PAP...if I renew april 28 I am not paying $700?! hopefully just the usual PAP price..right? assuming I dont need or want DL

This will probably work for our situation. I'm going to have to hone up on my Mickey math. We are visiting DL for 7 days in October 2010 and plan to go back to WDW in May 2011. But when we renew for a December 2011 trip to WDW I wonder if we will be eligible for the renewal discount if we only want a WDW AP at renewal time?
