Disney anniversary trip dilema

We're planning on a June trip. DH and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. If we go on our anniversary, which is June 1st, we can only go for a few days and without the kids since they will still be in school and someone will have to keep them for us. If we wait a week, we could go the 8th and bring the kids and stay a week. WHAT TO DO? I think I would feel guilty going to WDW without the kids. Do you think there would be a big difference crowd wise? I know the later into June we go, the hotter and more crowded it will be.

I don't think it is important to go on the exact date so much as to plan the trip you want. Our 20th anniversary is June 21st, but since value season kicks in July 4 and DD#1 will be in summer gym class, we will probably go around July 11-18. We'll still be celebrating, but it will cost us a little less. You can still tell people you are celebrating your anniversary, since you are! And I can't imagine going without the kids, even for an anniversary. I know some people do and that is fine for them, but our kids will be 14,11 and 8 next year and soon enough they will be grown and gone...I want them with me while I can have them.

My parents anniversary is in June, but they went to wdw for the 25th anniversary in Dec.

It depends on if you go a lot or not very often. For us, we have seasonal passes and will take the kids a lot. So we WILL take a anniversary trip without them. We have been there 2 times without them and had a blast. Both times were weekdays while they were in school. It is very refreshing to do WDW adults only! Now, if we only went every 2 or 3 years, I could not omit the kids from the trip. DH and I are looking forward to going alone next spring.
