Disney Animators working in Wisconsin???

No I am not on crack!! Our local news had run a store on a local businessman who has hired some 20 Xdisney animators and they are now working on a "new" animated movie. They had film showing them drawing etc. didn't giive much info on the film etc..more so from the point of a new industry for Wisconsin .

The businessman IMHO is somewhat of a Bible banger. Hid advertisements always end in " A Christian based company.". I'm guessing its some kind of religous flick just a guess. I feel sorry for the animators from sunny Ca to the frozen tundra!.

I have read a couple of articles concerning this over the past several months.

Tom Hignite has built Miracle Homes from nothing to one of the largest home builders in SE Wisconsin over the past 15 years. I had a chance to meet him once briefly and I am friends with his neice.

Yes, he is very religious and all the commercials for Miracle Homes end with the statement "A Christian Based Company" some folks think its great, others feel that it is using religion for commercial gain, to each his own on that one.

I've seen their models and the homes have got some great design features and his business seems to be booming, so he is doing something right.

He has commericals that feature a character called Miracle Mouse. Tom is now starting a small animation studio here in Wisconsin to begin making films based on the Miracle Mouse Character. I presume that these will be religious, Christian based films. He has hired a number of former Disney animators to get the project rolling. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

So how much longer before we get MiracleLand here in Wisconsin?

I think it's great that this man is trying to fulfill a dream of his. He's offered jobs to animators who were bumped out when Disney decided to focus on computer animation.

Must everyone always be so critcal when others go against the norm.
