Just got back from Logan's Meet the Teacher night. His team teachers are both really wonderful. I think he is going to have a great year this year. It's nice to see that they are implementing the DARE program as a part of their regular instruction. It is so different from when I was in 5th grade looooong ago.

The pictures of Meg and EB are so adorable! Alan, pretty much anything they choose will have lots of $$$ attached to it, unfortunately.

Lars - wanna tag along with me on Elaine's trip?!?! ;)

Sandy, I would love to be in a bowling league. I filled in a few years ago with a group from work. However, it was on a weeknight and they didn't start until 9, so I would never be able to do that on a regular basis. I need my beauty sleep!

What time did it start LK?? NINE????

okay, who doesn't have a nekkid chicken??????

that's probably a pretty personal question, right??

LK--I wanna come too!

Steph, of course you can come! I think that 9 angels would be a perfect amount!!!

Good evening,

We had a productive night, we picked up the new LOTR DVD......it was free

<font size=6 color="#800080">With our NEW VAN!!!!!!</font>

Geesh, Gail, wouldn't it have been cheaper just to buy a the DVD? So what kind of van is it? We want details.

I witnessed an accident today. Near my house at a low speed intersection. I was behind a car at the stop sign. The other road doesn't have to stop. The car in front of me stopped, waited while a car or two went by, and then pulled out....right into the path of another car. She must just not have seen the car. The speed limit is only 30 mph and no one was hurt. Scary though.

Then for the highlight of my day, DH and I went to look at new toilets to replace one that isn't working right. We know how to have fun.

Glad it wasn't worse Carol......anything more than a fender bender and you wouldn't be able to enjoy the excitement of picking out a new toilet.......

woohoo...

NINE singing angels......in an angel pie....or something like that!

Oh boy... sorry all I am veyr tired tonight... I didn't get much sleep at all. But if you all would like to tag along on my trip, feel free to :teeth:

Gail has a new van??? Tell us all about it!!!!

Darn, I didn't think about a new toilet, guess I'm stuck with the van! ;)

It's a 2003 Town & Country, replacing our trusty Voyager. The Voyager has had a leak that we haven't been able to successfully repair and it led to some rust and water damage. We had talked about getting a new van in the next year or so anyway and right now the incentives were too good to pass up.

What do you mean, picking out toilets isn't fun!! I had a great time chosing all the fixtures for the new house!:) Kohler loves me by now!:p

Beautiful van there Gail!!!! What color did you pick?

Well I am beat... so I am heading to bed. Good night all :)

New van (it's beautiful!), new toilets, and here I am dusting my old video tapes and my DVDs. I had a thrilling evening. The rest of the family watched LOTR while I cleaned. Seriously, I made a lot of progress again. Someday I'm going to have the most organized house around, but don't hold your breath.

It's late and Amy just announced that she forgot to tell us we are out of dog food. Poor DH went out to pick some up. I think he took pitty on his frazzled wife. LOL! I'd just put my nightie on when she gave us the news and I bet I looked thrilled to pieces at the prospect of going shopping.

David got his new jammers for swimming today. He once told me he'd never wear a Speedo type suit, but he seems pleased with this one. I must say it leaves little to your imagination. It fits like a second skin. Now I know why so many girls sign up for the swim team.

I planted some yellow mums in the pots on my porch. I plant something new there each season, so I can kill it. Sigh. I seem to have trouble remembering to water them. The last victims were some darling miniature roses. I should be turned in to the plant police, I guess. Anyone have an idea of how I can remember? By the way, I did water them today. Do any of the other angels have a brown thumb?

I think I'll look at my email and call it a night. I'm tired. See you in the morning.

Hmm, this is becoming a habit again. But I had to check something out on the www and look where I ended up! OK, today I did get the fabric for the duvet cover top, so I think I will cut it out tomorrow and maybe even get it sewn together. THen I gotta figure out what to use for the bottom of it. I don't want it to be slippery, it's the only blanket on the bed, and when the hot flashes pass, you gotta cover up. And DH keeps the AC on 78 and I am always freezing at night (except when I flash......sigh) And the beads I ordered from the www on Tuesday came this evening, they are for the lamps I bought that needed some little additions. Those will be glued on tomorrow, I will post B and A pictures. And tomorrow night we are going to a concert. Ringo Starr and the All Star Band, except I only know one of the All Stars, Shelia E, she plas some mean percussion. After that, DH will have seen 3 of the Beatles, he of course never got to see the Fab 4 or John Lennon (his fav), but he is happy. Should I wear a dress, capris or shorts?

Gail, that is a nice van. They come in handy for families. I missed out on that era, when DS was young, there was no such thing as a mini van, and when they came out, he was not into anything that required being squired around. By the time he had his first full drum set, I had a station wagon, (Escort) they fit in the back.

Carol and Diane, I agree, plumbing fixtures can be fun, and just as expensive as a few van payments. DOn't give me the idea to remodel my master bath, even tho it needs it, I just dread the thought. Carol, I am glad it was not you in the intersection. I hate even fender benders.

Melissa (MP) Please come to my house when you have organised yours. I can use the help. And I will take you to my brothers church, so you can see how the Episcopals in AZ live! And if he is preaching, you can compare his methods to your local guy. He gives his sermons from the floor, uses a wireless mike and walks aroung the congregation. I find it odd, but maybe that's the way it is now a days.

Alan, I am sure that when your girls decide what they want to do, they will change their minds a few times, just when you think you have it all planned out, Juliard and Carnegie Hall, they will decide that Barrel Racing is the only thing to do!

Melissa (G) - Be patient, the right thing will happen. Enjoy your trip to ROmania, it sounds great.

Twins, E, and Lars - You all are so busy, I don't know how you do it! Riddling while the meister is away. I wish I was as skinny as that nekkid bird....................

Nothing in the world of jobs for me. I was at the accountants office yesterday, she is looking for help, but wants to hire a high schooler for afternoons only. Good luck to her. Hopefully my resume will we done next week, and then I can shop it around, there are a lot of jobs available, but "You must submit your resume" sheesh, even for entry level. Oh well, I stilll have 4 moths before I will be on the streets begging!

Hail to the Redskins!!!! What a great way to start football season for us die hard Skins fans. Probably the only game we will see this year, unless they make it to TV out here, which they usually don't. Of course, if they get to the Super Bowl, this will be a happy house!

See you all later, maybe even tomorrow.

Morning!

I had trouble sleeping last night....woke at 3 and couldn't get back to sleep for a long time. Maybe it has to do with that purchase we made. ;) The picture I posted is the color we chose, silver metallic, and the interior is navy blue. The kids are all excited about the quad seating because they too get their own bucket seats in the second row.

Glad to see you Marsha....between you and Melissa I feel like a slug. You're both doing so much with your houses......and then there's Diane who's designing a brand new one! We could form quite a business we angels with our multiple and varied skills!

BTW.....loved the comment about why girls join the swim team!!:p

MOrning Angel,
Coffee is just running through, I really need it today....I am just feeling like the weather...rainy and ucky....

and I had a brain/computer freeze last night that slowed me down from completing a project for a customer...so now I'm waaaaaay behind the 8 ball.

Happy Nekkid Chicken Day everyone!

Good Morning!!!
Nice van Gail!! I drive a 2002 Town & Country & mine has the navy interior.......you'll like it, it doesn't show dirt as bad as the light grey we used to have. I was LOL when you posted about getting the DVD w/ the van because my GF & her DH just got a red Town & Country along with the DVD on Wednesday:D

LK & Steph-We should seriously think about going down to ambush E! at WDW.........anyone else wanna come???? Angel trip!!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!

LK-I'm glad that you liked both kids teachers this year. It's important to have a good start to the year.

Steph-I'm pumping coffee into myself this morning too!! Good Luck getting done what needs to be done!

Marsha-Good to see you! You have been missed! I wish you much luck in the job hunt!!

Gaspode-Waiting stinks doesn't it?!?! Be patient....everything always works out exactly the way it's supposed to & worrying really doesn't make it go any faster. Unfortunately!:D {{{hugs}}}

Merry-I am the exact opposite of a 'green thumb'. The only plants I don't kill are plastic ones:rolleyes: LOL

I spent last evening at the hospital visiting my friend Rhonda. She had a dangerous reaction to a new med she's on & we were worried for a while but it looks like she'll be alright & should be released today. I have to pick her up this morning if they do let her go.

Have a great day Angels & TManWLT!! Hi Alan!:p

Happy Friday!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Gail, Love that pic of Elizabeth! Adorable!
My DD took tap, ballet, and jazz for years and years. A lot of fun and a lot of expense$. I saved all her costumes. Her daughters might have fun with them someday:D
Wow, a new Van! Awesome! I drove a caravan for 10 years while I was lugging around ice hockey equipment and baseball players. Put over 150,000 on it and had to put it to rest.
I'm in a car now, but I still miss having all that space when trying to pack!

I've put down the deposit on the restaurant for the Wedding Reception! Lk, and SB, you'll both know this place well, I'm sure.
It's going to be at the "Grand Concourse" in Station Square!
The food is absolutely wonderful and it is reasonably priced!
Now I need help finding a photographer!!

E, I'm glad to see you're able to get on. I heard they were having outages in several parts of Ohio. I thought of you!

WAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I WANT A LITTLE GIRL TO SEND TO BALLET CLASS!!!!

*sob*....I got a very cute, very sweet boy.....but he doesn't like his tutu!!!!

The pics are marvelous! Ohhhhh.....I missed all that dressing up and hair stuff with Matt. *Sigh*....maybe in my next life!

Nice van, Gail! Wish you much luck with it! Will that van be coming down to Joisey any time soon? I need to inspect it. Make sure it's nekkid chicken safe and all that.....

Looks like you guys are raring to go today! I am still looking at siding, roofing and doors. Driving my DH crazy. Of course, we can't agree on the color scheme.....he loves the clay colors and I love the dark greys. We both like dark, though, so I guess that's a step in the right direction!

Hope SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE on this thread is having some DECENT WEATHER! It's soggy and very, very muggy here!

If I don't catch up with you later....have great weekend!

(It is Friday, isn't it????) :p

Good morning Angels

So how many of you type angLEs instead of angELs? I always have to check myself. When DD was younger, she was writing something about the TV show "Touched by an Angle." We still joke about that.

I think Gail should take that new van on an innaugural trip to WDW and she should take all the Angels to help break it in. I promise that if Juan is with us, no margeritas will be spilled on the seats.

Cute ballerina pictures. Somehow DD never got into that, for which I am thankful. Swimming cost enough buying the racing suits and multiple pairs of googles.

Alan, no matter what the kids choose, it will cost you money. Swim suits, soccer goalie shirts, silver trumpets.... Nothing is cheap.

Lars, hope your friend makes a quick recovery.

The sun is actually coming out here today. It is supposed to be a nice weekend.
