Disney and a Bugaboo Stroller

We recently purchased the Bugaboo Frog Stroller for our 6 month old daughter. Given the cost of these strollers, I am a bit uncomfortable leaving it unattended outside of rides and restaurants on our upcoming trip. Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips? I really don't want to use another stroller since she is used to this one and it is the most comfortable and manuverable. Also, she is not big enough for the Disney rentals which I know are spectacular for bigger children. Thanks.

Although I have not spent that much on a stroller(our most expensive was $400) I worried too. Esp that I would be there and no stroller with my little ones. That being said, I have seen several Buggaboos there. We have taken our Mac TT for the last 4 trips. No issues. I also have it heavily decorated:artist: I have a large(saucer size) laminated lime green mickey attached with our info. Also if I think it will be sitting for a long time unattended I will chain it with a bike lock where it can't be folded but can move if a CM needs to relocate it.

I'm not bring my bugaboo because we are staying within WDW and to take it apart each time we get on and off the bus would really stink. I went to target and got a stroller for $40 which I call our disney stroller. I don't have to worry about someone taking my Bug.

I wouldn't be afraid of it being stolen. Last time I was there there were a bunch of them. That being said- I hate taking that thing apart to fold in and out of trams, trains, busses or the monorail so I would invest in a full recline Mac

I was worried about that with our Phil & Ted stroller, but when I was at Disneyland a few years ago, there were plenty of expensive strollers lingering around and I never heard of any of them getting stolen.

Mine is lime green, so it would be hard to go unnoticed! LOL!

We have the Bugaboo Cameleon, and when we have to leave it we remove one of the back wheels.
I have seen Bugs with a bike chain through the wheels too, just don't chain it to anything else in WDW as security will cut it off!!!!!!!

I've seen Bugs on all of our trips along with 2 different people with a Stokke on this last trip. I've brought a Rock Star Baby stroller ($499) when DS was 3.5 months. Same reason, it's the stroller he was used to and happy in. :) There are a lot of expensive strollers there. To be honest, I've never locked mine up no matter what I bring. IMHO, that draws attention to the fact that it's an expensive stroller. When I was worried at first DH pointed out to me that chances are very good that 95% of the people at WDW will have no idea that my stroller was expensive. As he puts it "hon, most people just don't care that much about strollers." ;)

As for convenience with the 2 part fold, I used the RSB rear facing at the time so we had to remove the seat to fold it. It really wasn't that big of a deal. We did a split stay between the CR and the BC so we planned our park days accordingly to avoid busses. We used the bus (obviously) to AK and we went to MGM for a half day from the CR so we rode then too. It helped that it was early Feb and the parks were near empty but I would totally do it again if need be. This last trip we brought a Bumbleride Flyer ($300) because the RSB has such a terrible canopy and DS HAD to have shade (we had an accident where he got 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his arm a few months ago and it is imperative that they be kept out of the sun). I couldn't even use one of those add on canopys well on the RSB b/c the canopy is so lame. The Flyer was not small by any means but it was still not a problem (and this time we were at POR so busses everywhere and it was Christmas week). DS is happy in it and it allows him to face Mom when he gets tired and cranky...happy baby makes for a much easier trip!

We have never had any stroller issues at WDW. But then again we only take one of our Peg Perego P3's for the baby. Still pricey but also seen everywhere along with Maclarens at WDW.

We have 2 P3's, 2 Maclaren Quests (although on is off to a new home soon), a Fisher Price Infant to Toddler (my Bugaboo wannabe until I get the real thing LOL), a Chicco 6WD, an older Peg model, and a Quinny Zapp (my absolute favorite stroller at the moment). We also have a Zooper Zydeco on the way to us. LOL And these are all for just our ONE 18 month old DD!!! Our other DD is 8 and not in the stroller stage anymore!! LMAO :scared1:

So for me, the P3 is our Disney choice only because I am more concerned with it getting injured by the airlines! LOL At WDW, I am not too concerned. BUT, with a Bugaboo...I probably would be stressing! For that reason, I choose not to bring my Zapp. While I do see a few at WDW, I would be to worried to leave it unattended for long.
