Hi!

I'm new to this section of the boards! I am not an adult but am planning to go to WDW until the day I die.

Is it fun going alone? or is it the same as with other people?

There are definite upsides to going along. You can do whatefer you want whenever you want without consulting anyone. You can change your plans on a whim withoug upsetting anyone. You can use the single rider lines. No onw to annoy after the first couple of days ;). You won't wake anyone up with your snoring. People tend to be pretty friendly, so it's not like you'll be all that lonely.

There are downsides. It can be fun to experience things with friends and loved ones. It's always neat to share experiences.

Hard to say which is better. It depends on who you would otherwise be going with.

Well I am only 15. And I've been going with my parents. And this is our last trip as a family.

I love going to WDW with my family. I also love going to WDW by myself. My trips with my family are very different from my trips by myself, but I have a great time either way.

I'm like you - I plan on going to WDW until I die. My first trip was when I was 8 years old (the year after the park opened!) and I knew then that I was hooked. Now I'm 43, married, and have two sons who are 14 and 16. I still love going to WDW as much as ever.

Enjoy your trip with your parents. But know that you will also have fun when you take trips as an adult, whether it is with friends, on your own, or with your own family someday. :)

sound like you both need to consider DVC.... it will save you money over the long run....

at 15 your LAST trip with family.... what about 16, 17, 18 (then you can go solo to WDW)....

I love WDW go several times a year - been twice and got two more trips plans and one for next year.... stay offsite and onsite....

It's been way more fun for me to go to WDW alone than with friends. I love teh freedom to go where I want, when I want, ride what I want, skip what I want, eat when and where I want, all without having to worry about anybody elses needs or wants.

At 15 you still have a few years before you can do a whole solo trip, but if your parents are agreeable, you might be able to put in some solo time on your family trip. Perhaps you could try touring the park alone for a few hours, or maybe even go to a different park for a day. WDW is an extrememly safe place for teens to visit on their own, as long as you take reasonable precautions.

I personally wouldnt want to go alone. I am just one of those people. :confused3 But I think that going alone is just fine for must people and they have a blast, me personally I just like to have a friend along :goodvibes

I have a fun time either way, I sometimes go off on my own on my family trips when the rest of the family wants to go back to the hotel and relax. Me, I'll spend the day in the parks from opening to closing, every single day in the week that we go.

There's good and bad to both sides. When you go alone, you get places a lot faster and get to do everything you want to do. When you go with people you have others to chat with, eat with, ride with.

i hate going alone.

last december i went to epcot with my zoology class. i dont know anyone in that class, and frankly, i just didnt want to know any of them. i mean, not to be horribly rude, but they didnt even know epcot was part of disney world. and disney world to them is the magic kingdom. *sigh*

anyway, and my brother was meeting me up there and i was going to spend the day with him. they ended up leaving an hour before the park closed, and my class was staying for the fireworks. i hated being alone in that one hour. i watched the fireworks and wanted to cry because well...i always do...but it just felt so...odd being alone.

id rather always be someone, even if you get more freedom when youre alone. its funner being with a friend or family member. you have someone to talk to, someone to share an experience with, and for me, someone you can sniffle to 'wishes' with.

im not saying you cant do disney alone. because you can, and for some, have a blast with it. but if this is your last time at 15 with your family, why dont you try talking to a friend or something.
