What is it like? Is it good or bad. There seems to be a lot of negative reviews on tripadvisor, but there where loads on the Holiday Inn international drive and having been there there are a lot of very picky people about. so how about your views?

It is smaller than the moderate and deluxe, there are no inside hallways (none at the mods either), and it can be a bit noisy. This is the first Disney resort I ever stayed in and found it to be clean, comfortable, albiet small and cozy accomadations. If you are going to be spending little time in your room or at your resort than it is an excellent choice. If you are planning to spend tons of downtime and wish a posh resort experience than it won't be for you. I have stayed at AS since and will do so again.

It's no worse than Holiday Inn's type rooms. Music IMO is the quietest of the all stars The grounds are nice, there are places you can take some quiet walks. The pool is themed to the three calabreros, (guitar shaped) or the piano shaped, quiet pool

Stay 10/22/5 -10/29/5 loved it.
Stayed @ all Star Movies in 2001.
Much nicer @ Music.
Quieter & liked theme more.
We stayed in the Broadway building.
If we stay @ a value it will be Music.

I stayed at the Music in July, for the money it was a good deal. The resort was a bit crowded as there was a large group of teenagers from Brazil staying there. They were not a problem though, except that they all hit the food court at the same time or when they got in a line for the buses. You really had to wait for the next bus.
But the resort was nice, the food court was a nice size and there was a good selection. The main pool was large and plenty of room for everyone. I stayed in the Jazz building and it was a great location.
I would stay at the Music again

My family stayed here in Nov. 2001. It was great and we loved the food court. Rooms were small but we were only in the room to sleep.

DH and I stayed back in 2000, and we thought it was nice for a value resort. Like someone previously said, if you plan on spending a lot of time at the resort, I would choose another place. But, if you know you are going to be in the parks a lot, and want to save some money - I think you will really enjoy ASMusic! The only negative that we found was that our room was very far away from the food court - and the food court was always a zoo when we were there. But, other than that, we had a nice stay!
