Disney??? Again???

i was trying to explain to someone how great disney was... in particular.... when you're walking down main street... with someone you love (friends, family...) and it's nearly xmas... and you hear that "tinkle tinkle" and... the snow....

or hearing *this* or *this*

the only way i can explain it to them is... the feeling you get at christmas as a kid! lol.... it starts in you tummy... you get a shiver... it makes your toes curl.....

lol!

Thank you Nikki... I got the information from your message. I had a bit of a panic as I posted a HUGE photo of me and my daughter on here....... but luckily I managed to shrink it..... Thank you XXX

I love Disney, take a lot of stick from non disney people at work, been to dlp 3 times before & going again in April, going to florida again in August. My children are 14 & 12 and its great to be a family at Disney, we allways stay on disney property and would find it hard to find a holiday that would suit us more, I know one mans meat is anothers poison, but am amazed that people find it o.k. to rubbish your holiday as not for them, when they have never been.

I thought I'd see if any of you get strange looks or sarcy comments when you tell people you are going to Disney AGAIN!

Oh yeah, and we don't care. We love it and work hard so that we can go every Dec or Jan. ( our anniversary is in December, and we honeymooned in Disney...so why not????!!!!)

Well no, I didn't realize that she was talking about a certain Disney. LOL. I LOVE Disney World, I don't think I could go to another Disney unless we had enough $$ to do DW plus the other park!! LOLOL>

My uncle once asked why we'd want to go to Disney on holiday cos it's not real life!!! That's why it's so great, it's fantastic to get away from reality and just be happy all the time and not worry about anything - surely the point of a holiday is to get away from it all and at Disney you really can do that.

I agree 100% with this Rhiannon! However (I am going to make an awfully sweeping statement here, sorry) I think some Brits like to go on holiday and for it to be Britain with sunshine. I was horrified when I went to Ibiza to see all the football shirts, newspapers, food and drinks..... all at the expense of local culture, cuisine etc. That is not my idea of a fun holiday in the slightest!!

And how can anyone not see the beauty of Le Chateau de la Belle Au Bois Dormant?

I've had those comments " You're 33 , why are you going again ?"
Simple answer : last year my daughter enjoyed DLRP more than a beach , a pool , city breaks you name it .
Yes I know I could spend the same and do 2 weeks in Maguluf but who wants to share a resort with 2,000 drunken rude Brits ?
Planning to get back to Italy next June ....
In the meantime 6 days away from more Mouseness ....

I completely agree with those of you comparing a holiday at DLRP to one at a beach resort. Most of my friends go on holiday with the sole purpose of getting drunk, going clubbing, and sunbathing - none of which appeal to me in the slightest! They think I'm mad for not liking holidays like that, but I honestly couldn't think of anything more tedious.

I studied French at university and a few of my classmates actually worked at DLRP during their year abroad - all of them worked in Phantom Manor. They came back saying it was boring and that they got really sick of Disney, and then we had this big discussion in class about how "Disney is just for kids" and "DLRP will have to close soon because it's doing so badly", etc. etc. I wanted to cry! :(

Of course later in the year, I was too embarrassed to tell the class where I was going on my holiday this year, so I just said "France". :guilty:

I usually say "Paris" if people I don't know very well ask me where I'm going but have decided to change my ways and say "Disneyland Paris". Might enthuse a few new recruits that way and spread the word of the overall wonderfulness of the place - even for "oldies"!!!!!

It makes me sad when people say that Disney is just for kids. :( I have been going there since I was 8 years old and I have never been through a phase of not wanting to go / thinking DLP is "naff". I can see me still visiting when I'm a little old lady. Some people just don't get it, I suppose. :confused3

Good for you!!! I've got visions of you whooping it up with your grandchildren and great-grandchildren trying to keep up!!!! :rotfl2:

The one thing I always find so funny is that people think its all fast food and nothing else. A few people have even said to me, "Don't you get sick of burgers and chips all the time?" ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm a card carrying say it loud say it proud, so my works calendar said DISNEYLAND PARIS, FRANCE just a journey away to the mag?c :rotfl2:
