Does anyone remember this part of the park before it became cartoon land? Why didn't they have a gummi bear rollercoaster ride like those quicktunnel cars they had in the series? They could have a loop and go through a waterfall like the show. Instead they just had cars and boats.

The Disney Afternoon Avenue are of the park was a short lived promotion that occupied existing attractions. From what I remember (and I was a kid at the time), It stretched from the "Small" Autopia all the way to the Fantasyland Theater (of course this was all before Mickey's Toontown existed).

There were Gummi Bears cutouts throughout the old Motor Boat Cruise ride, and Rescue Rangers cutouts throughout the "Small" Autopia. There was a stage show featuring Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers, and there was a meet and greet with Baloo in his "Dressing Room".

Ah the memories... Anyways, back to the original question. There were no new attractions built for this promotion because it was only there for less than a year, and then it was gone.
