Anyone else remember coming home from school and watching the Disney afternoon in the late 80s to mid 90s? Last night while the dis was down I was playing around on e-bay and I saw someone had Ducktales seasons 1-3 on sale. So of couse I went to Amazon and found out that this Tuesday Nov 8 both Ducktales and Chip n Dale Resuce Rangers seasons 1-3 are going to be released on DVD  !

They retail for $34.99, but amazon has them for $24.98. I hope that all of the Disney Afternoon comes out on DVD. I hope they release Goof Troop, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck to DVD as well.

it's a duck-blur
might solve a mystery
or re-write history!

Duck tales whoo-hoo!

My DB made me nuts with this show!! :goodvibes

As a child of the 80s, this is what I came home to watch afterschool. Sure, as I got older, I shifted towards Animaniacs (which is coming out on DVD next year), but I still remember coming home and watching Talespin, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, and Ducktales (Never got into Bonkers or Gargoyles, though).

I loved those shows, Ducktales, whoo hoo! I loved Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers too, I would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't! oh and Gummie Bears, I have the theme song in my head now!

They still show them on Cartoon Disney

I also was an 80's baby, so Disney Afternoon sucked up much of my childhood. I absolutely loved Duck Tales and Tale Spin, liked Darkwing Duck, and the others were ok. To this day, I absolutely love the theme songs (especially DT, TS, DD, Rescue Rangers, and Gummi Bears).

I remember the original lineup was Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin. Once Goof Troop started (and Bonkers, Aladdin, Timon and Pumbaa) I started to lose interest in watching Disney Afternoon, probably because I was pretty much entering my teen eyars at that time. I did like Gargoyles though, it was a bit darker and more complex than the other DA shows.

The Duck Tales and rescue Rangers DVDs coming out this week are both advertised as Volume 1, and I believe each set has the first 27 episodes to each show. Also, Gargoyles Volume 1 has been out since last december, and volume 2 is being released next month.

Now if only the Duck Tales theatrical movie can be released to DVD..........

me too although I don't know if I will be able to wait that long. I do have a gift card to Best Buy and one for Target so I might be checking that out on Tuesday!!!

My brother used to watch it. Ducktales was his favorite show. Maybe I'll pick up the DVDs for him (even though he's 23 now ;) ).
