Hi, just need some info. My boss is thinking about going to Disney the week after Xmas.. Was wondering about how the crowds were at the parks and resorts..Any info would be appreciated.. You can e-mail me at mitzib@csonline.net

One of the busiest weeks of the year. Some friends of mine were there the week between Christmas and New Year's a couple of years ago, and their reaction was "never again!"

It can be one of the most mafical places to be at the holidays but also the most crowded. That being said, we are going again after our "never again" trip 2 years ago!

Beautiful time of the year at WDW and the resorts! However, one of the most crowded times also. :crowded:

2nd time for us, too! Weather was fantastic last time we went, lots going on all the time, plus, it's the only time DH can close his business long enough to go. Still, no matter how crowded it gets, with the help of all the DISers, we have enough information to make a perfect vacation!

hope to see you there!!!! :Pinkbounc

I booked POp century December 25th - Jan 1st

Very very crowded, but still i loved it!!!

Christmas Spirit everywhere!

My family (wife, DS 5, DD 2) are going also from 12/26-31. I am so excited. I always wanted to see the decorations and we were fortunate to have gone in May and bought extra tickets with the no expiry. So tickets are out of the way. We got the great HI rate, so that $10.00 is put away.

We are going with a totally different mind set for this trip. We know the crowds will be rough, but we are going not so to ride rides, but to take in the little things we always skip. Resort hopping to see the decorations, more ADR to enjoy different foods. As long as you have the mindset that it will be crowded, you still can find the Disney magic. Good luck.

Never again!!! We have seen the before and after crowds. Won't do that again. We are going this Christmas, but staying out of the parks completely after the 25th. Flying home the 27th.

My DH and I went once the week between Christmas and New Years and never ever again. But then I hate crowds and waiting in lines. :hourglass My favorite times are when DH and I can walk onto Buzz at least 10 times in a row so I get a chance to beat him at least once. :) Some people love the crowds. So.. If your boss doesnt mind long lines and crowds, he will have fun. Otherwise, this is not the best time for him to go to Disney.

You might consider the first week in Jan - Holiday decorations are still up everywhere and the crowds are certainly lower.

We went the week after Christmas in 2003. Like someone said, if you go expecting crowds and enjoy the rest WDW offers at Holiday time you won't be disappointed. We found that late at night when the families with the young kids left we could enjoy the rides. The fireworks at night in the MK are wonderful and there's nothing like the feeling of snow falling as you walk out of the MK! Beautiful time of year to go, but don't expect to ride a lot without waiting in lines.
