Disney Adventure Dates & Prices Released!

They started this strategy when departing from Australia. It's a chance to experience the ship itself for new departure ports. This is doubly so for the Adventure because it's going to be so huge that you'll need that time just to try to experience most of it. I imagine they will add other ports after two years or so.

Mama Disney does know what's best for me. Why offer a choice to visit a port when you could just stand in line for a character meet instead?

I don't think anybody would say they know what's best for you, you just aren't the demographic they think they want to attract. If you want an immersive local cultural cruise, you probably don't want the Disney Adventure.

When we visit new countries and cities we like to dine out and see the performing arts at night, so a 3 or 4 day Adventure sailing with no ports is much better than a 5-6 day sailing with two ports, because we enjoy the ship on the ship (without early morning announcements as they prepare to clear the ship) and then we have more time to explore Singapore or Kuala Lumpur or another easy hop city before/after. It's possible Disney did market research and realized even their American demo most likely to actually travel would want a shorter cruise so they can tack on a stop in HK or Tokyo or Shanghai.

When planning our family’s 2026 Disney cruises, I compared the total cost and cost per day for a family of 4 on the Treasure and Adventure. To my surprise, the Adventure turned out to be much more cost effective, even when we added in airfare, than Treasure during the same time frame (June and July).

While the staterooms aren’t exactly “apples to apples” they are in the same general class:
  • Treasure: Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 08B)
  • Adventure: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (Category 08A)
Below are my results:
  • Treasure: $11,828.28 total or about $1,478.54 per day (8 days)
  • Adventure: $6,400 total or about $800 per day (including a 5-days and a 4 days voyage)
Even with flights to Singapore or Florida, the Adventure still came out to be a more cost-effective cruise/trip for us.

Generally speaking, we could enjoy B2B2B2B (18 days) on the Adventure for around $12,500, which is just a little more than $11,800 or one cruise on the Treasure (8 days).

Note: This comparison doesn’t take into account the number of travel days needed to reach each port.

We've done similar math and found that the Adventure would have been a great fit for us, budget-wise and in terms of the ships amenities. But we opted for the Ovation of the Seas instead, because a cruise to nowhere is just bananas to me.

If we tolerate the flights to Singapore (we've done Beijing and Taipei previously, so I don't think Singapore will be a problem), we may return to Singapore some day, and if they have more interesting itineraries at that point we might consider hopping on the Adventure.

I totally agree. It’s an interesting concept to just sail around the open ocean without stopping at a port. Since” it is what it is” this year, it will give us more time to explore every area of the huge ship. But, it is nice to have options and get off the ship to stretch your legs

For us, we've already visited all the ports of call on the Western and Eastern Caribbean Disney itineraries so many times that we don’t usually spend too much time off the ship anymore. We treat port days more like bonus relaxation time and maybe hop off for a little while, or just enjoy a quieter day on board while everyone else is exploring. So, staying on the Adventure for the entire cruise with not port stops can actually work for us. In theory, I guess. Ha ha ha!!!

We consider many of the standard Disney ports (Cozumel, Nassau) to be “less crowded sea days” so our biggest issue with the adventure itinerary is that we aren’t getting any of those less crowded days to enjoy the ship. 🤣

I would feel bad traveling to Singapore purely for Disney, but the sailings are short so it’s easy to make it a module of the trip. We will do land-based sightseeing in Asia before and after the cruise, and focus on all the new experiences on board for the 4 nights of the cruise itself. I would prefer three or four days at sea with separate days to actually visit major cities and explore restaurants and museums (without feeling like I’m part of a shore excursion cattle call) then a seven or eight day cruise with a few ports that you only get to see for 6-8 hours.
