I was thinking this very same thing! The UK prices are absolutely ridiculousI was thinking this too. I can’t see them having a ship in Australia with higher prices AND it selling well.
It’s cheaper for me (from the UK) to fly to Singapore and do a b2b than do a 5 night cruise from the UK! Which seems ridiculous![]()
They are small and themed like the specialty ice cream shop and the Bars on other ships. I’m guessing the prices are low due to the many up charge locations. Maybe even the rides etc.I don't think ALL of them will be but I wouldn't be surprised if a few are
Is the concierge 6 sleeper family room more expensive than booking two verandah cabins? We have our cabins picked out…will see in a few weeks if we get the ones we want. Hard to exactly know what the cabins will be like. The concierge family ones in the description say they have 2 bedrooms and sleep 6 with two bathrooms. The 1 bedroom category are much bigger but only have 1 bedroom, sleep 5 and 1 bathroom. It doesn’t make sense.
Can’t tell exact prices yet. Just what prices start at for the different categories. I think you can get two veranda for the price of a family concierge thoughIs the concierge 6 sleeper family room more expensive than booking two verandah cabins?
I suspect you can as well because for the sailings I’m looking at, concierge started at about 2x veranda and they have a lot of inside concierge rooms as well. Can’t tell exact prices yet. The concierge family cabins are all insides, no?We have our cabins picked out…will see in a few weeks if we get the ones we want. Hard to exactly know what the cabins will be like. No, they have garden view verandas and ocean view verandas in the concierge family class as well. The concierge family cabins are all insides, no?
Where are you finding flights? Neither delta nor Google let me search that far out in advance.Atlanta to Singapore, a mere $1,200-$$1,900 a person.![]()
Oh, I just put in dates for like January.Where are you finding flights? Neither delta nor Google let me search that far out in advance.
It’s usually (but not always) better if you can book further out, especially around the holidays (Jan is not a big holiday in North America but it can be in Asia).Oh, I just put in dates for like January.![]()
Ya, I just looked at that for a laugh. It’s usually (but not always) better if you can book further out, especially around the holidays (Jan is not a big holiday in North America but it can be in Asia).
The flight length gave me a laugh also; and I'm used to 10 hour flights!Ya, I just looked at that for a laugh.
Yes, usually we watch for opening day pricing and folk report back beyond what the categories start at. I’ve created a thread for those here:Is it usual to wait this late to post detailed pricing?
Sorry, I haven't read through the whole thread yet but when comparing costs for 1 vs. 2 guests, it's not identical. They don't charge taxes/port fees on a 2nd guest if only 1 person is sailing. I once looked into all of this years ago to bring my dad with us.I answered my own question -- apparently my settings queried only 1 guest. When I changed to 2 guests it increases BUT the single rate is not a full 100% single supplement. It looks to be approx. 84%. Or am I still doing something wrong...?
That's actually not a bad price considering how far away it is. We paid $1600 for a RT Philly to Barcelona and that was back in 2013 and after watching prices for months and it wouldn't budge.Atlanta to Singapore, a mere $1,200-$$1,900 a person.![]()
