Disney adult costumes for big girl? (size 14 ish?) Rapunzel!

Help!

My dd is 10 and is a chunky little thing...wears 10+ or 14s to get around her waist ...ahh prepuberty!

Anyway, she wants to be Rapunzel and the Dis Stores only have it through size 10 and then adults.

I wonder if an XS or Small might work. If you have ever ordered a woman's costume, what do you think. They are extra short, so I know the length won't be a problem, but I don't know if she'd swim in the rest of it, or if they are fitted and might be too small (like Target XS t-shirts in women's ).

I ordered the Adult small for mine she is in the same boat as your DD and she is almost ten. WE ordered it the other day and we will see how it is

This caught my eye because DD10 would love a Rapunzel dress and she is in the same size boat. So I looked at the costume on disney shopping. My usual concern with going with an adult size is that it would drag on the floor, but this is a short dress, so that wouldn't be a problem. The reviewers mentioned it ran a little big from the size chart. The smallest is a small. They also mentioned the lacing can be tightened if needed.

I would look at the size chart for the small and compare it to your daughter. It might work!

I still don't want to spend $60, though. I did find her a pink princess dress on Amazon for $20 in size 12/14 (still fits a little snug) that will do for Halloween.

I've been thinking about getting that same dress for DD7, who is tall for her age and she often wears a 12 - she likes clothes that are not too tight in the waist and it's so hard to find dresses.

I'm short and she found an XS bridesmaid dress in my closet, that I wore in my early 20's, and it fit her perfectly, so it got me thinking about the small adult Rapunzel dress and wondering if it would also fit. I'm thinking of going for it and wondering if it might go on sale after Halloween?! (since she wants a Rapunzel dress for our trip)

I placed an order for DD8 dress in size 12-14 about a month ago for our uncoming trip in December, and It was not easy to find the dress in her size, but perseverance paid off and was able to find it..
Hopefully I gave you the right number. Can someone else in here confirm this info? Good luck to you and I am hope you'll find it!!

A plan "B" might be to look at the XS adult sexy's. Hear me out. My DD10 tried on an xs qypsy princess and it fit great. I would have had to saftey pin the sholders up, but the length was perfect. I ended up getting a girls large instead, it is a bit loose but I can fix that.

And Goofy, I'm sorry but I don't understand. What are the adult sexy costumes? Are they different from the adult costumes on the Dis Shopping site that I was inquiring about?
