Ok so currently...
Ashley:
~~The Mall of Louisiana- The Massage Spot- chair massage kiosk.
I work here Thursday through Monday.
~~Cater 2 U Salon, Boutique, and Spa.
I take appointments. Very very few because they don't ever answer the phones and when people are walking down the sidewalk they just think its a boutique.
Buddy:
Semi full time Massage Therapy student
~~Gamestop
He worksish there... He got a second job at the Rave with more hours, and the boss at Gamestop got mad. So said boss only schedules him when he absolutely has to or if the district manager that likes buddy is coming in for a visit.
~~Rave Motion Pictures.
He's been there a month and loves it.

~~ Mall is picking up because it's Christmas!
~~ Buddy's Aunt Michelle is a director at two Geriatric homes. She has been wanting to set up spa days. (I have hooked up with a lady who is actually a certified nail tech. I did a ladies spa party that she was also involved in, and it led to her having one. This led to us hooking up with a Mary Kay rep that was there, and we have decided to be a traveling mobile ladies day party spa. We have one Sept 17th already.) But I digress. The aunt wants the two of us to come into her homes, rotating them every other week, to do a spa day for the inhabitants. Rochelle (nailtech) doing the clippings and paintings for like $5 and me doing short massages for $5. Plus giving the families the options to purchase longer in room services for rotating Wednesdays for the ones who are able to enjoy those. Very excited about this!

Buddy
~~Gamestop is about to start giving him hours again because its Christmas. And the branch in the mall where I work wants him to work some shifts.
~~ Rave (this is the best of all the news) He absolutely loves it here because they are actually working... Not pretending to work. There is always something to do, and he loves that. So he's gotten on all the managers good sides because he's helping out in all the areas even if he's not assigned there. The manager under the GM called him into his office to tell him why most of his shifts were on call shifts. (Buddy is thinking its because he's going to get fired soon) He tells Buddy that it's because to make supervisor and manager they have to have worked so many shifts. He told him they can only give him so many "hard" shifts until closer to the holidays, so he's being giving him on call shifts in hopes that they can call him in to get hours built up faster. The other manager right under the GM asked him on Thursday night where he sees himself going with the company. Buddy told him if there's room for moving up, he would love to stay and just do massage on the side. The manager told him that that was exactly what he wanted to here.
~~Lastly we have an EA games here in town. Don't know if that's familiar to anyone but that's who does games like the SIMS. They are desperately in need of game testers... And buddy is a gaming fanatic. Hence working at Gamestop, but a guy I work with is really good friends with one of the top designers at this one and will be seeing him tomorrow to try to set up and interview with them for Buddy.

So I'm crossing everything at the moment that even one of two of these wonderful opportunities works out!

That picture of him in his jersey with her is mom's single most favorite picture that either of them has ever taken. He came off the field and straight to her because he could hear her hollering Jo Jo!!!

Thank you. I'm trying to make it entertaining. I think I might start a picture trivia too, but I think I might do a zoom in and guess where it is trivia. It seems like everyone is enjoying them on all the different PTRs. Thank you for the hopes for the opportunities!

Thanks. We're kinda all just waiting to see what happens with it. The worst thing is that my job is hourly and very based off ppl coming to the mall. When Gustav went through 3 years ago, the place I work shut down for a month. So I'm just hoping that we mostly just get a lot of rain. Good thoughts on that front would be greatly appreciated since I'm the main income source until buddy gets out of school. We've got the generator and about 12 gallons of gas ready. Tons of water and staples. So we're good for anything on every front but the employment thing .

This is me about my trip report...

SOoooo I have been bad about updating. Day 75 on though I will be playing a game, so get ready!!!!! I will MAKE myself do it!!!

I'm actually starting a new adventure that has been taking a lot of my online time... (Sorry I've been absent on everyone's reports as well. I'll try to get back more on those too. I have been reading just not posting.)

So my hair stylist of almost two decades has branched out on her own.... She has leased out an old acadian style house, and she is creating her salon and spa. It will be called The Looking Glass Beauty Lounge. She has asked me to come in as her massage therapist into "The Loft" of the building. So I've been trying to get a lot of stuff together for that, plus getting those wedding flowers done. And I've had an order to do another wedding.

Plus Buddy has a week and a half left of school, so things for that are busy. Plus the mall is picking up and getting pre-Christmas busy!

So check back in a few days with me for the game!

I'm thinking it's going to be a picture guessing game. I've been trying to find a bunch of neat and abstract disney pics. I'll zoom in close on a part of the picture and then then everyone will guess what the bigger picture is; whether its a place or a character, etc.

I'm super excited. She's planning on having like 7 stylists, a manicurist, pedicurist, me doing massage, and maybe someone doing facials? She's the only stylist in it though right now. She got the place up in running in less than two weeks. Even if it's just up and running enough for her, that's pretty darn good time!

I'd rather be busy than bored. Makes the days till Disney fly by!

Thanks I'm super excited. Our teacher in school used to tell us in the massage world, if you can make it the first two years in the field, then things will start happening for you.... I make two years out of school in April, so my fingers, toes, arms, everything!!! is crossed for this place to work out!

Ok ladies! and gent! Here's the game I've been promising. The weekend was slammed, so I will do Day 75 (yesterday) and Day 74 (today) together.

Bonus points to anyone who can guess the overall theme of the game before the end.

I'm posting a zoomed in picture of a Disney picture. Not mine, ones I spent 3 hours at work today finding and putting in a certain order.
