Disney ABC and General Disney Pages- Completed!

I love both the pages-

Jennifer would crystal or a light brown stickles kind of dripping down a part of the mat work- I am thinking something that looks like melting ice cream- I love the journal box with the bite out of it.

Rebecca

Oh, that's an idea, let me think about the stickles...

I think I may just do the cream part of the JB with the bite out of it, so it will show up a bit more. Mickey's ear has a bite too (my kid can swallow those suckers whole, but I take delicate bites :lmao: ).

Yep! This was the first time I've used them and really am happy with the look. Sigh...another place to spend money...!

I know, like we need more places to drop cash!

You may want to check out the Tulip (your favorite bling company!) dimensional paint. Their brown shiny one would look cool (no pun intended!!!) as a "drip." It would look like melted chocolate/ice cream and not be glittery. I use that type of paint when I need a 3-D effect, but don't want the glitter effect of the Stickles or the pearl effect of the Perfect Pearls...

Just a thought...

Your page made me smile - love the Mickey bar...yum!

Okay this swap is out the door and heading your way Rebecca. I have a dc if needed. The only thing you will find is just the pages. I will be sending a return address label and money for postage in the autograph swap box, which I should have mailed no later than the first of next week. It is ready to go except for boxing it up. I was going to get my cj done and mailed out also, so to save a trip to the po.

Mom and I are finally home. We will have prototypes next week. I love all the pages so far.:goodvibes

I'll run over to Joann's this weekend and get some paint. Is it the puffy paint you're thinking of? I think that would work, make it look "drippy" but not messy.

Sorry i didnt get to post yesterday went to Camel beach and the shore the past weekend. I am still here and in and should be able to post the pics asap.

Thanks !

Swap is going good Just reposting in case it was missed. I will post pics as soon as I can but X and M are on the roll. Finishing up the last touches at my next crop next week!

J is done, except for the tags. I need to think about how I'm going to execute those.

C's trial run is cut out, just need to do layout modifications.

U - waiting on paper, should be here by Monday or Tuesday

General Disney - I keep forgetting about this one, this is more of a note to self.....

I recieved Nemommom's pages today- they look even better in person.

Rebecca

Thanks for letting me know Rebecca. I got my $ for the postage return, so my autograph swap stuff will be mailed out on Monday.

Today I am going to church at home and then to my Mom's and getting my R protoype and pages and picking up my Going Places Cart so I should be able to get my protypes posted late today or in the AM.

Thanks for everyone's patience.

Oh, I love that Cart Susie!! Are you using the suitcases? I used them for my SDV pages last year.

That is the plan. I am fiishing up R. I can't just do a protype - I have to do all the pages at once. I have to do my photomats.

For the Luggage page - I want to try and make a piece of luggageto fit the page as background. I don't know if it is going to work. I don't know that I have the right color paper with me so I may have to make a protype out of somethign odd and if it works then make everything else. If that doesn't work then I will have photomats with little luggage embellishments.

I don't typically prototype either. I know the elements I'm going to use so all that gets cut out assembly style, then I play with the pages before gluing anything down.

If you make the luggage fit the page will the mats be like vintage luggage stickers? I have the chatterbox vintage suitcase for my scrap bag and I have vintage Parisian stickers on them. I was born in the wrong era, I love vintage everything!

I am not going to get a a full prototype of it done tonight but I am going to try to cut out the piece of luggage tonight. Wish me luck girls. I can't decide what to put it on. We'll see what looks best.

Here is my R. The R is black Doodlebug glitter paper and the blue for the little letters are from DCWV glitter stack.

The R is only attached to the top pocket so things can slide under the top of it.

There are three pockets. I figured that the last pocket can be for check out. The middle pocket for check in and the top pocket for a couple of pics.

I love it Susie!

Can the pocket hold the resort newspaper thingy you get at check in? I love those but never have a good way to house them.

Yes, exactly.

Now for my luggage prototype. I have gone through 17 sheets of 12 inch paper and can't get it right. I give up for the night. I will try again in the AM

Are you trying to get ONE suitcase to go over top of a background 12x12?

Did you try "fit to page"?

Exactly.....I did that for the shadow and then whenI cut the real cut...it was toolong, then I looked at what size the shadow was cut to fit the page and dialed that and took off shadow to cut the to player. That didn't fit either. UGH. Then I cut a 11 1/2 inch of both and they don't fit right. I think I just need to try in the AM.

I need to get some of my mats together to work on this.
