To All;

I am looking for information about the 24k gold collectors cards made by Authentic images and sold through the Disney catalog and to some extent, the parks. Does any one have a list of what has been issued? I just bought the last card that I know about, but I have a feeling that there might be more out there. I have purchased a couple of prototypes from a cast member, so I am guessing that there might be more prototypes out there.
If any one else is wondering about the same thing i can send information on the ones that I have. There have been two different formats. One was a card that was layered in gold. There is a Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Scrooge of this type. These are also the ones I have prototypes for. The second type were layered in gold but so that the picture is almost like a hologram. Visible from certain angles and not from others. I am probably not describing them very well, so if you want pictures, please let me know. Any help or information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi, I know this is late but ive been trying to find out about the 24k steamboat willie collectors cards I have a set of three and i am trying to get a good valuation of them, these are numbered 933 of 1928 also from authentic images

I am glad that you found this topic.....

Your Steamboat willie cards are part of the later versions made by Authentic images. They do seem to pop up on Ebay often, but for some reason some sets will bring $300-500 and others (like yours) will sit there for weeks unsold at a much lower price. They were quite expensive when they were released, several hundred dollars for the 3 piece sets, if I remember correctly. I don't travel to any of the Disney collectors shows, so I don't have any experience with "Sale" prices other than ebay. The matched number sets are a little more rare, as some of the sets were also released seperately (The Mickey Through the Years set has had several individual cards show up for sale). I don't remember if the Steamboat Willie set was ever sold individually. I have only seen the sets. Obviously someone out there thinks that this set is worth $500, since they just paid that amount for it. If you truly want to sell the item, I don't think that you are in a bad range at 60-120GBP.
