Disney 2009 DVD - NOT WORKING!!!

WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the third one I've ordered and all of them don't work. Its not just my dvd player either.

The first screen comes up (white background with writing) then it makes this strange noise like it cant read the dvd. Thought it nearly broke my dvd player!!!

Please, does anyone know how I can my hands on one which works! I really want to watch it!

have you tried watching it on your pc? i watched mine that way. i then leant it to my mum, who said it didn't work on her dvd player

i had the same problem, used my laptop in the end. wasnt ideal but least i got to see it.

maybe they're region coded? - which would be a bit silly of disney.

No they aren't region coded, some players just don't like certain disks, stupidly it could be the brand of disk that Disney are using.

We have a really expensive DVD surround system that is very picky about what it plays but the £16 one from Asda plays everything just fine!

Hello, Disney dvd is in NTSC system, and in Europe the dvd´s are Pal, this is your problem, you still can watch it in your PC, hope this help,

yes, there are problems with this dvd.
It does not work in my Denon DVD, My Sony Blu ray nor the Playstation
But it does work in my laptop and desktop.

I copied it to another dvd (cutting out the parts I did niot want) and that now works.

No wouldn't work on mine either so I've ordered another one through the UK website. Never gave it a thought to watch through the PC before throwing it in the bin! LOL

i dont know the technicalities - but mines is so so tempermental!!

its one of those things that one you get it playing you have to fast forward it to the next section without it going back to the menu - cause once its back at the menu it wil just freeze again.

How do you order this DVD?

I'm not from UK so we have booked on the US website. On this site you can only get the DVD if you live in the States or Canada.

Can you order it from the UK site? I can't seem to find it?

i binned mine as well would not work on all dvd players or the pc !

I have the new UK one and not only is it very similar to last years one, it is very temperamental.
It freezes, stutters or jumps on almost any standalone DVD player I try it on but seems ok in pcs/laptops.

I'll stick with last year's (or even the one with the great Dave, Erin, Luke & Stacey)

Mine would only work on the laptop. It came up with the licensing info on the front screen when played on the PS and the DVD player but that was it.
