disney $200 gift card for 2014 bookings

The dining plan will be available to book from 25/4/2013 till 3/11/2013
Quick service for Port Orleans etc and dining will be on animal kingdom lodge and yacht and beach club not sure on Old key west and Saratoga.

I work for Thomas Cook and we have received our 2014 brochures, it's advertised in there, they don't feature OKW and Saratoga so can't confirm they will be included.

But there prices go on sale 25th April 2013 along with Thomson Holidays.

This year we are going indirect (we do most years now), Aer Lingus. Manchester to Orlando, I don't find indirect inconvenient and certainly can no longer afford Virgin. A return flight in August for Me, DH, DD (4) and DS (18 months no seat), cost us just over £2100 - leaving me very happy.

You can't really compare that though. That's like saying you can get it cheaper if you stay in a 3 star as opposed to a 4 star or if you don't add dining or if you don't have park days.

They are not the same thing so the price is not really comparable.

Not having a go just pointing out that they are too different to compare.

I wonder if that means that SSR will be too?
If my mum wants to come again ( last yr she said it would be her last trip so we thought we could do 1 room at POR and suck it up lol) but now we was talking the other day and she was saying I think I will come next yr!! Since we always pay for her we will need either 2 rooms or a 2 bed at SSR!
Not the cheapest of options lol,

Anybody know if they do offer the discount how long they offer it for? We still have no idea where we will be living yet, thought we would have heard by now, so don't want to book until we do know.

Well at the moment with WDW UK, all resorts right up to GF include only the CS dining plan for free. SSR and OKW aren't appearing when searching so maybe the discounts are being added as I can't imagine they won't be available to book.

I'm glad we weren't planning on using the offer next year and it makes me wonder whether in a few years FD will be gone altogether.

It has been well publicised that Disney want to 'wean people off discounts' so I am not surprised they OKW/SSR discount are being reduced and the free dining offer is being reduced.

I will price it up and then compare to renting the additional points we would need on our DVC however I am not in a rush to book and the QS plan really doesn't work for us.

It will be possible to upgrade to the regular plan by paying the difference. We have done this this year. Not as good a saving but just letting people know who might not have realised.

Yes, they are probably erring on the side of caution after last year's disaster when the new offers were loaded

It's also not showing up under their deals or special offers tabs, which seems to indicate that it is not yet loaded into the reservation system.

My first visit was my late thirties too-fantastic!!!

Initially I had free dining on a dummy booking,changed my dates then it reverted to 2013 and having to pay!
There are some definite glitches out there.
I've also done dummy bookings on virgin hols,and got Disney fix for free!
They were in the booking,but not added onto the prices-same the price was crazy,or is would've clicked book there and then.
Probably wouldn't have honoured the price though.

The price they quoted was good too. I always seem to find that with them. still going to price up different deals and see if we can get it cheaper.....every bit helps

our Quote is along the same lines too.
Its a lot but about what we expected and budgeted for.
In fact im pleased as I was expect a bit more than the quote and only having QSDP.
Theres a £3700 difference in the Disney & Virgin quotes, thats enough for 3 economy flights next August right?
Just deciding between them offers and then im booking!
