Ed, just throw a bunch of random peices from 5 diffrent puzzles in a box and see how long it takes for people to figure it out. That's what I would do.

Krista, can we we get a pic of the box or poster or what the finished puzzle should look like?

I have one new puzzle for the DISMeet but now I'm thinking I may need to get a second one (for after we finish the first one).

ED
Sorry it has taken my so long to get back. Picked up a couple of 12 hour shifts in the ER and needed to recover. The puzzle was bought at a thrift store and the bottom piece was missing or a cat stole it!

And the missing piece was a corner piece too! :sad2:

I would have passed on a cat puzzle (I'm allergic to cats).

Warm fall weather is upon us here in N. VA. low 70s, sunny, light breeze. This was perfect weather for some trailer maintinence. So pulled each wheel, inspected brakes, bearings and seal. I chose not to replace the seal this year or repack the inner bearing as they looked great, outer beraring got repacked. Also took the time with the tire off to grease the suspension again, even though I just did that two trips ago.

I also cleaned off the 5th wheel hitch and pin as I and switching to a wax instead of grease. I already use a teflon lube plate to avoid having to grease the hitch head. I been using the wax off an unused toilt flange for the past 20 years for the ball mount couplers. It does great and doenst leave a greasy nasty stain if you get it on your clothes. So I decided to use the same for the 5th wheel pin.

Still lots of cleaning and organizing left to do, though glad to get this maintinence out of the way.

Getting a little more RV prep done.

Generator serviced for another 150 hours (oil, fuel, air filters and cleaning the soot from the spark arrester.)

Added DEF, topped up the hydraulic reservoir for the jacks (it perpetually wants to ooze from the fill cap) and checked the gear lube in the front wheel bearings. I had one that was really low last year, but is fine now. No evidence of it leaking anywhere.

It is getting hot now. Supposed to be a record high today (89), but in the 70s tomorrow, so the rest of the cleaning, checking and packing will be tomorrow.

I rotated the tires on the truck today. I forgot to take a peak at the generator. I need to get into that tomorrow, thanks for the reminder. We're going to be Wally/Crackerdocking all the way down.

I think we're doing pretty good on everything else prep wise, the Tulsa shake down trip was timely.

We're all getting excited. I know we're pulling out soon because teenage DD is letting her candy shell melt and show that she's getting excited.

8 hr meat sause, not a bolagnaise( that's diffrent), some nice ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, eggs and grated parm. Some spices that are a secret. Us Itallians can't give it all away. It will probably last a few months in the freezer. It will not survive the apocalypse. It will be good reheated.

@Sjm9911 We stick to easy meals or take out as well. I have plans for the end of the 8 hour driving days that include simple 15 minute one pot meals. Super easy to make, better then packaged meals. Thought about making them ahead of time, though really 15 minutes on the stove or couple in the microwave isn't that hard. I think I will do the prep ahead of traveling at least.

@Part-Time Paradise I thought about trying to do that this trip, but that would require purchasing a generator.

Trip prep continued here as well. I picked up the golf cart from my friend Ken (and proof of insurance). It has a few minor things it needs. Though already got started on that by mounting the on board lithium charger like he wanted, going to replace the old DC charge port with a 15A 120v inlet connected to the charger. One seat back needs to be repaired and thankfully repacing the rusted out hardware has proven to be doable without needing to remove the seat cover.

Today the RV will get its annual roof down bath, followed by a sealant coat of wax. I found a product I can mist on wet and dry off that protects the RV finish pretty well. Eventually I will need to maching wax it, but trying to put that off till I feel it's worth paying someone else.

Tomorrow the little trailer gets some fresh tires so its ready for the trip. The last of the trip prep is taking the truck to the shop to check alignment, and then a full on detailing inside and out. Once that is done, all that will be left is shopping and packing. I already been starting that too by picking up non preishables with the normal shopping trips and freezing anything on a good sale.

I leave the sammiches for while heading down the road. The fact that I am breaking up the trip into smaller chunks, I think I might not find cooking as much of a chore at the end of the day.
