Thanks. Trying to get on here and there. Just came back from taking the kiddies to High School Musical 3. You know you are all jealous :rotfl:

:lmao: I actually think I would have prefered to see that over Max Payne. I was robbed those couple of hours of my life :headache:

Morning Everyone :goodvibes

We have snow flurries today  Feels more like winter than fall. We are heading to the library for a trick or treat parade today. DD will finally get to debut her Daisy Duck costume. Boy is she excited! We carved our pumpkins last night and DH was regretting that he chose Buzz. It took him a really long time but it turned out cute! I have pics to post of the pumpkin carving and the pumpkin patch but need to get them uploaded yet. I'll do that later today. Hope you all have a great day!

Man, it is cold here but not cold enough for snow (yet). Supposed to warm back up over the weekend though thank goodness. How did your DD's debut of her costume go? Oh and I look forward to seeing the pumpkin pictures.

Just thought I would share. This is anti-drug week at DD's school and yesterday was Wild about being Drug-Freee so they got to wear Wild hair. She had pink, blue and black hair with glitter all over.

awww that is too cute! Love how you did her hair :thumbsup2 I used to love red ribbon week in elementary school

Nah, not dressing up. Haven't been invited to any parties this year. I think we're just having a couple of friends over to play video games tomorrow. :confused3

I think Cheri has been busy with work lately and she's been getting ready for her In-Laws to visit. They are coming to town I believe today for her DH's birthday tomorrow.

That's cool too. I am dieing to pop open that Wii.

Oh jeez. I've never heard of it. :confused3

Thanks! We never had that when I was in school (yes I am ancient)

Good Morning Laura!

My hand is okay I guess. I am kind of disappointed because I still have the numbness and the nerve pain in my arm and hand. I am hoping that it goes away.

I am as ready as I am going to get. It looks like we are going to have a really wet weekend here in the bay area for Halloween. My kids are all talking about how no matter how hard it rains they are trick or treating. Yeah we'll see. I am sure if I had candy instead of playdough they would want to stay home. They want their sugar fix.

Sorry you aren't feeling 'fixed'. I'm guessing maybe it will take more time? I hope for your sake that it continues to heal.

I did playdoh last year. This year I am doing fruit snacks. I am probably not the most popular house but they just get sooo much candy. My kids like when they get chips, fruit snacks, etc. Not to mention when I bring the candy into the house, dh eats half of it before we even get to Halloween!

Today it is 37 degrees but they say it will be in the 50's tomorrow with no rain so I am hopeful!

I was working all night but thought I would comment quick on this. I'll comment on everything else tomorrow. Great pics OB and Betsy!

Anyway I went to Dollar stores and got decks of those big oversized cards for people who can't see well and I got some silk roses and I got an oval mirror for the looking glass. I went on Utube and got songs like a Very merry UnBirthday and put them on my quick list so will play those. I got construction paper to cover a coffee can to be a can of red paint and I got a paint brush and got red tissue paper to put inside the can to look like paint. I also bought some different hats for the Mad Hatter. I also printed out pictures of the Queen of hearts, the knaves painting the roses red and a poster of the Alice in Wonderland movie.

Since I am not being kept on, I kind of lost my enthusiasm so that is about us about all I am going to do.

Wow!!!! I think that is a tremendous amount of stuff to do!! It will look awesome and you have to post pictures!

Wow! We have been way too quiet lately. Not good for the old post count ladies. We need to get cracking here. I wanna reach 5000 sometime.

Yeah, I'd like to make it to 7000 at some point. Not a big deal but it seems like I've been waiting for it forever now.

Ok, some of these are blurry because my batteries were dying in the camera. Sorry about that!

YOur DD is SO cute!! Those pumpkins are as big as she is

Love the ones you carved. Y'all did a great job!

DH has a job!!! He decided to take the job with a chance at management in 6 months. It's about 30 minutes or so away so much closer than the other one.

His boss said that in 6 months if he does a good job, he could have a merit review (ie salary increase).

He starts Nov 10th. So that actually gives us some time next week to get away for a few days. We considered going to WDW but only have 4 days available and flights were too expensive.

So instead we booked 3 nights at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. This is a resort with a huge indoor water park. I've never been to one of these before but heard it's a lot of fun. 85 degrees, lots of slides, lazy river, wave pool, etc. and they have a spa that does pregnancy massages so I am getting one too!

It wasn't cheap but includes breakfast, waterpark, lots of children's entertainment and a semi-private living room (there is a 1/2 wall that separates our bed from the sofa bed).

I'm excited ... I love just being able to get away so this will be fun.:cool1:

And tomorrow, we go for our 20 wk u/s ... we'll find out whether our girl "grew anything she wasn't supposed to in the last 5 weeks" :rotfl2:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: CONGRATS to your DH!! What fantastic news. And a mini trip to boot. How exciting! I hope y'all have fun!!

Our girl is still a girl!! Everything looked healthy (10 fingers, spine, brain, etc)...they are going to watch the umbilical cord though...evidently it is not centered on the placenta which (may) mean that she is not getting enough nutrients and could be a smaller baby than she should be.

But doc said nothing to worry about at this stage -- best case is everything is fine. Worst case is we have to deliver much earlier than normal if she isn't growing like she should.

I go back in 5 weeks and hopefully we'll see good growth numbers.

hehe you will have fun with it when you do :) Turns out we are not doing video games or anything with anyone for that matter this weekend. :sad2: Chris will be working over time tomorrow night and saturday night instead so I'll be all by my lonesome :sad1:

It's the new Mark Walburg movie that came out 2 weekends ago. Don't watch it.

 you are not ancient!

That stinks that you are not noticing a change any more from the surgery. I hope that changes as you heal up.

Also stinks that y'all will have a wet Halloween. Supposed to be nice here and I ain't doin' crap. :headache:

yay for still a girl!! :woohoo: :woohoo: Glad everything is going well. Will be praying about the umbilical cord thing. Hopefully it's not what they are thinking and you will be able to carry her to term

Thanks Laura. I figure that I might dtill have swelling causing pressure on the nerve. I haven't exactly taken it easy.

I know we probably aren't real popular either because I give out things other than candy too. At least I don't give out tooth brushes like one of our neighbor does.

Wow 37 yuck. We were only about 55 this morning I figure that it is because of the cloud cover before the storm. I really don't want it to rain, but I know is going to.

I have no real worries. I figure whatever the happens will happen whether I stress or not. We really need the rain here so I won't complain much. The kids on the other hand....We do need to reach these post mile stones.:thumbsup2

Marshay, congratulations on DH's new job. And I am glad your girl is still a girl.:goodvibes It sounds like DD is working hard to make it the whole night through. What a big girl she is.

Aww, I am sorry girl

Does shavone live close to you? Maybe ya could go with her and kids when they go trick or treating?:goodvibes

Thanks for all the well-wishes on DH's job!

So I made the ressies for GWL yesterday and of course, today I'm down with a cold -- just feeling icky, tired and head in the clouds type of thing...so I'm really trying to be good and rest and hopefully this will be gone by Monday!

Nite all! Sweet dreams.

I decided to tell you guys about my Halloween costume. Excited? ;)

I'm going to be Zacky Vengeance (one of the amazing guitarists for Avenged Sevenfold). I have an outfit similar to this one:
ZackyVengeance160.jpg

The only difference is that my flannel shirt is green. But I have sunglasses like the ones that he has attached to his shirt, tattoo sleeves that resemble his actual tatoos, and black velvet skinny jeans. And since the outfit is pretty non-descript, I'm doing my make-up like he does his most of the time.

Loren is going to be the Grim Reaper/Death. But for school, Kacy and I are going to do his hair and make-up (eyeliner! :rolleyes1 ) to look like Johnny, the bassist from Avenged Sevenfold.

Kacy is going to be a "preppy" girl for school, but she's not entirely sure what she is going to be at home. Most likely, a hippie.
