Good Morning!

I hope everyone is well today. We are having the cold mornings and the hot afternoons of fall.

I have my O! You seminar this weekend in San Francisco on Saturday. From what I understand Oprah has these seminars in different cities around the country every year. I am trying to decide what to wear now. There is a video on the website showing how people dress and I am just not sure. One of the seminars I am attending is Stacy London from What Not To Wear so I am thinking about that as I decide.

I am planning on taking my camera along so there should be pictures. If I can ever figure out how to upload the pictures to my photobucket or post them from my Kodak.:rotfl:

Oh how fun! I hope you have a blast and I look forward to seeing the pictures :thumbsup2

OK, I got this idea from Family Fun Magazine -- I love their crafts!

I painted last night and then DD and I finished this morning. She really enjoyed putting the peas and mashed potatoes on.

So you just turn the plate each day to show how many more days to go!

Pretty cool, eh?

That is SO cute!! Where do they come up with this stuff? Good job Marshay!! :goodvibes

OK, thanks!! I'm making lasagna for dinner tonight and was going to add onions to it...I normally just put onion under cold water and that works, but you got to keep doing it.

I'll let you know if chewing gum works!

Sweet! I'll be anxiously waiting to hear if it actually works or not.

Thanks Sharky. I am sure between us we will figure it out.:goodvibes

Awesome

Lasagna sounds good:goodvibes

 hola all..

my parents are in town today.. so im up and dressed against my will... :rotfl:

plus joshs grandma is going to be coming over sometime today dropping his sister off and if im not up and dressed she will throw a hissy fit...

Hey, do any of you remember that onion trick? I'm about to cut an onion and can't remember which page it was on...

I remember it was chew gum. Loren reminded me of it yesterday after I cut up onions.:rotfl2:

Ok the verdict is .....

-

NOT!!

Seriously, I started chewing the gum and then cutting the onion. All seemed pretty well in the beginning. It was a Vidalia Onion. Then I start to smell it so I start chewing the gum harder...then my eyes are getting a bit red so I start chewing the gum like a cow!! Yes, I was laughing at myself while I was doing this...thinking, maybe I'm supposed to chew faster!

In the end, my eyes were all red, burning and I'm crying up a storm.

Next time I'll do the cold water (I store my onions in the fridge anyway)...this works pretty good if you keep doing more water for each section.

But the good news is we are having Home made (ok, the pasta is the oven baked kind and the sauce is Ragu) Lasagna for dinner tonight and I was able to make another one for a mom that just had a baby, too.

Too bad about the gum not working. That is so nice of you to make enough lasagna to share.

Bummer about not working, but picturing you chewing faster and faster is cracking me up

:rotfl2:

How did the lasagna taste?

Love it

good find

:lmao:

So, what you up to Chele and Marshay?

I just got hom from McDonalds. We had a playdate with Penny and her youngest daughter. Her older one had homework

Trent was so filthy and don;t ya know what happened

He fell asleep in the car

Normally I would be in heaven, but he is so dirty

Now that is has been about a half hr

Going to try and wipe down his hands atleast while he sleeps

Be back in a bit

Lasagna was wonderful!! I made a spinach and beef lasagna this time, b/c I'm trying to get more vegetables into our meals. DH didn't say anything (either good or bad) but all 3 of us had seconds so I'll let his actions speak for itself.

On a "bummer" note, my DH said yes to one of the offers...however, it was contingent on the end-client also choosing him...so he interviewed with them yesterday. We basically decided that this was going to be the job. Salary was ok but the benefits were wonderful (like $0 for health care and 5 weeks vacation!!). But we found out today, that the end-client was looking for someone with more datebase programming experience.

So we're kind of bummed right now. The only other offer is the one that would require DH driving 1 hour each way ... and although lots of people do that in our area, we really don't want to do that...esp with a newborn.

We're going to wait a few more days and pray that God will open up another opportunity ... and if not, then that means DH is supposed to take the job that is 1 hr away.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers...I'll be glad when a decision is reached...(and I get the house back to myself during the day!) :lmao:

Marshay, I will keep you guy's in my prayers. He will find a way. I know what you mean about the alone time. I actually was able to get some yeaterday and today. It was wonderful.:goodvibes

DD fell asleep in the car coming home from the pool today too. DH picked her up and let her sleep in the living room for 1.5 hrs...I was afraid to let her sleep too long or too short but it seemed to work.

I'll step away for a bit...need to eat a snack and then go to bed -- that swimming pool wore me out too!

Yeah, DH was asked on one of the interviews about working from home full-time...my first thought was :scared1: .

Now you must understand I  my DH but I really value working in "my office" with DD under my conditions -- play loud music and dance if we want to, be silly, etc ... and of course, DD would have trouble distinguishing why Daddy was home but not talking to her, etc.

So he asked me about it and he said he didn't think it would go over too well...I told him I agreed.

Ah poor guy all tuckered out. How sweet.

:goodvibes That's one of the things I like ab out exercising. I always sleep so good when I do. But I can't right now. My orthopedic DR doesn't want me to take a chance on messing up my surgery and I am inclined to agree.

I found out earlier when I was looking at the O! You website that Loreal Paris is doing makeovers. So I am so going to do it if I can.

Oooh, that would be great (the makeover).

So how is the hand feeling today?

Oh my! As much a I love my DH I would pretty much feel the same way. When we were first married he worked a carwash and I was very pregnant and not working. In the month of January he worked like three days. I learned to love our alone time as much as our together time.:rotfl:

It still hurts and it was bleeding earlier but the numbness and the nerve pain I had before the surgery is improving. Thank you for asking.

Ok, on Sunday after church we went to a local Apple Orchard to pick some apples and pumpkins. I never picked apples right from a tree before.

Here is DD being silly

OK, I need food. G'nite!
