I think I'm caught up on my threads...almost joined a tag fairy thread but I don't know if I can keep up with anymore...although I'd love a tag...

G'nite Sharky.

so is anyone consigning again?

I did one a few weeks ago and made $47...I sold about 1/2 my things. I'm planning to consign the rest next Sat. I lowered the prices so hopefully they will sell better. I still need to get some newborn winter/early spring clothes since I don't have any (DD was a July baby).

Oh nice, thats good idea.

I have a ton of Trent clothes. I have never tried consignment before.

I did tell my best friend Sil that I would give her most of Trent clothes, as they have been sitting in my room for over a year, just collecting dust and would be nice to get rid of them and help someone out:goodvibes

Good Nite Marshay:cloud9:

Well, last night was pretty eventful. Chris took off from work early so he could go home and mow the lawn as it desperately needed it. It hadn't been cut in about 3 weeks :scared1: . When I got home I went outside to help him. I was only out there for about 20 minutes when all of a sudden I heard him yell G** D**n  . I asked him what was going on and he said something jumped out at him and he didn't know what it was. I walked over and he said "I think it's a rat....or is it??" I examined it and said "Awww it's a baby bunny!" It's ears were so small it was hard to tell but once it moved I could tell what it was. So cute!! The neighbors were out mowing their lawn too and since the bunny was so close to the fence on that side Chris didn't want to just shoo it under the fence just to let it get sucked up by their lawn mower so he caught it. "Now what?" I asked him. He told me to go inside and get a pitcher to put it in. So I did, we put him in there with a mesh top...then put Chris' drink on top of that to keep it from tipping over in case the little guy decided to try and escape. Then Chris walked back over to the mower to continue to mow the lawn when he hollered "There's another one!!" So he caught that one too and put it with it's sibling. And then there was another one!! So now we had 3 of these baby bunnies in a pitcher and we're dumb founded as to what to do with them. Neither of us have had to deal with this situation before. We would have left them where they were if we lived in a more secure place for them to thrive but we don't. Our neighborhood is all houses...no woods, no nothing really. So once Chris cut the grass they would have been exposed and possibly harmed by a predator or something. So I made about 7 or 8 phone calls trying to figure out what the heck to do now. Finally I got ahold of a guy that was about 60 miles away from us saying he couldn't make it out last night so could we hold them over night and he'd meet us somewhere that would be convenient for both of us in the morning....um, no....that doesn't work for us. So he came up with another solution, he told us to take them to a local animal emergancy vet where they would hold them until he could come pick them up. So we took them there. Oh yeah, and we put them in a card board box too. They weren't cooped up in that pitcher for long  Needless to say it was a rather interesting evening and we didn't make it home until about 9pm. I hope those bunnies are safe and that that wild life rehabilatator gets them to a safer place to live out their lives.

Anyways, here's some pictures I snapped of our cute little visitors.

This is the nest they were in. Chris has already cleaned it out to make sure there were no more in there but the mom bunny had stuffed it with dead grass and hair. It was cute.

Very cute bunnies!

We caught an adult rabbit one year in our yard and took him out to some fields near a small airport. I :headache: rabbits in my yard -- they eat all my veggies, bulbs and plants.

Call me Mrs. McGregor -- Bunnies stay away!!!

Yeah, we thought so too. Part of me wanted to keep one and call it Thumper but I have NO idea what we'd do with it. I've never owned a bunny before and I have heard they are a headache.

Awww, that stinks that the bunny was ruining your garden. Can't have that. Glad to hear you took it somewhere that would be good for it. We would have done that with these baby bunnies but we have no idea how old they were or if they'd even be able to survive on their own yet. :confused3

Marshay, I wanted to tell you that I loved your scrap booking pages. You did a fantastic job!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Aww....They are so cute Carla.

We had two rabbits growing up, but my brother took care of them, thank god, as that not really my thing, cleaning cages and such:rotfl2:

Yay for rescuing them. That was very nice of you both:goodvibes

Cheri -- also forgot to mention. Since we've been in many rooms that have less than ideal counter space, I started packing an Baggalini Over the Door Organizer (some people just use one of those shoe holders). Mine looks like a garment bag with various pockets.

Mine has plastic compartments of different sizes and it's great to put my toiletries in (and also to keep them out of DD's reach!).

I also have a Baggalini toiletry bag with a hook.

I agree having counter space is the best -- but in some of the really small bathrooms, they put the toilet right next to the sink and no counterspace!

That sounds cool. I had an over the door thing, with just 2 compartments, and it broke :headache:

I love my new room!! I just hope I can stay there through the end of next week. (it's iffy...the hotel is not giving great information about their renovation schedule...)

Hi Ladies...work work working. Hope to get on with ya'll soon. Have a great night.;)

miss you!!!

Ok, your wish is my command!!

I admit I was lazy and didn't take the pages out of the protective cover, thus the glare, but I think you get the idea.

The first 4 are of Ocean City, NJ. This is actually where I had my first DIS meet with a friend I met on another thread. Anyway, OCNJ was where my family took us to the shore when we were growing up. This trip was with my parents, sister/BIL and nephews. DD and I had our first trip by ourselves in a hotel room.

Notice how sleepy DD is getting on Nana

And she's out

The small picture in the upper left is actually DD's first roller coaster. Then she went on another one with Pop Pop that evening.

Then I included this photo b/c as it says we finally learned what to say to get DD to smile at the camera! Also, I'm proud of this page for 2 reasons:
I made the background paper. Since DD had black stripes in her dress I thought it would be cool to add them in the background. Then I added the work LAUGH to give it some more pizzazz.

Finally, I wanted to include a large mouth to show laughter. I didn't have any stickers but I have a machine (Cricut) that die cuts images. I found Cinderella's lips and enlarged it many, many times.

Voila!

JPEG005.jpg

how sweet!!

You have a right to be proud of that LAUGHTER page. It's absolutely wonderful!! You're so creatively talented!

those lips are just too cool!

Man, it will be an expensive month for ya...that is like our August....We have 4 birthdays.....Niece, nephew, Mil and Sil :scared1:

Maybe they are off on her due date and you could have her last day in February, to make March not as painful:rotfl:

well if she had her LAST YEAR on the last day of Feb, she would only have to celebrate her bday every 4th yr. ;) :rotfl2:

Carla, I love the bunnies!!! They are so cute and cuddly!

How cool that you found them! Glad y'all were able to get them to a rescue center.

I used to do that in Louisiana and I made some nice money doing that. You get tired of clothes or they don't fit any longer. You just have to remember that they have to be freshly washed and for the right season. I once took clothes that were for the season we were halfway thru and she wouldn't take them. :sad2: So I had to lug them all back, I just took them to goodwill from there!

Hi Ladies...work work working. Hope to get on with ya'll soon. Have a great night.;)

Hey OB, have missed you. Now you'll probably miss us since we leave for Ft. Wilderness Monday and Sharky and gang comes Tuesday! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi Everyone!! Today has been pretty good so far!!:cool1: Braeton started feeling better @8:30 last night and was very alert today. he did go to school in his w/chair but was able to go to PE and use his walker!!:cool1: I wa at his school today working and have just ran home for a few min. so I'll have to jump off here pretty quick.

sharky Trents projects are adorable!!! We'd deem them "Refrigerator Worthy Material" at my house!!!:thumbsup2

Marshay If I haven't said it already, (I think I did) CONGRATULATIONS on a girl and We want to see that scrapbook as you are doing it. AND I agree You can be a little self indulgent. You are preggie. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT!!!!!

Cheri Pillow Mike is just too cute!! Well at least you won't have a whole bunch of just space around you now huh??? :goodvibes

Tat I MISSED an update?????:scared1: I'm off to read it now!!!:cool1:

Hi LeeLee, I'm so happy to hear that Breaton is feeling better. I won't be around now until the 15th. I may be on a little over the weekend if I get time, so much to do to get ready. But it's finally almost here!!!! We go on MOnday and Sharky comes on Tuesday!

I think it's strange that there's no counter. I think they could have designed it so that those rooms have counters too. It's very silly. Wheelchair bound people still have STUFF they have to put on the counter, too! In fact, they probably need the counter space more than we do!!! They need the accessibility to their things. It's just.....grrrr!! :headache:

Oh hey, now that I mention it, here's the pics I promised.

Here's the note that was under my (locked) door in the other room

P1011236.jpg

And that sink...it's slanted so that you can't even keep anything on the ledge. The SOAP won't even stay put, unless you sit it JUST SO, making it "catch" or "stick" rather.

this is the shower
P1011226.jpg

So that's the 2nd room. I hope to be able to show you 3rd room pics later...:rotfl:

That looks like our 2nd bathroom at the condo it's handicapped and it makes DH nuts, even men have enough toiletries that they need a counter and there's one little soap dish in the shower and he needs a place to put his razor, soap and shaving cream and he can't. what a pain. Don't they think handicapped people use toiletries? :confused3

I just realized that note says Corporation instead of cooperation! Some geniuses they are!

You think that note is bad, wait till you hear this! DH gets home one day and he can't get in the resort, the passcode at the security gate won't work. So after trying it several times, he goes and parks and goes in the office and they tell him they changed the code that morning but they put notices on everyone's door knob. Duh how do you get back in the freakin place to find the stupid note on your door knob if you don't kow the new code????:confused3

Now there are some real geniuses at our place! :sad2:

That's beautiful Marshay. I loved the Ocean City NJ pics, brings back some nice old memories. I love the big lips. I used to work at a school that had the Ellison Die Cut machine and I loved that thing. I wish I could afford one of those! I'd love to do scrapbooking some day if I could find where I put my talent. I think it's in an old rubbermaid container out on the shed or something, lol. :rotfl2:

Aww they are so cute Carla. We used to have them nest under the swing set so we'd leave the grass high around the rabbit hole so the mom could keep her babies safe down there and no predators would find them. Then they'd grow up and go off to wherever big bunnies go. I think bunnies are so darn cute.
