Congrats to Michelle and Betsy for their mega-posts (actually, I dont' think Betsy got to 5000 yet but she will soon)...
Cheri -- I would definitely stay in Texas...visit in-laws if you want but if DH is going to be working anyway, it's not worth it to drive back home.
Actually, I would consider 2 weeks away from home to be heaven!!! Not that I don't like home...I just get bored and tired of cooking, cleaning and dirty towels/bedsheets!
Yes, having clean towels and bedsheets every day is one luxury I deeply enjoy. Also, I love to eat out.
Bring lots of books/puzzles/DIS TR notes, etc, so you aren't bored. Lay around watching tv and DISing w/o any worries or go out and explore (what's left) of Beaumont.
Also, do you have any scrapbooking or paperwork or crafts that you haven't done in a while. Take them along in case you have time to do them.
And do plenty of swimming/floating in the pool and hot tub!!
I think it's just bad timing coming right after our Disney trip.
Well hey, at least I won't dirty any towels, huh.
Mike will be sleeping on our bed of course, and using his share of towels. And he DOESN'T do laundry (believe me, he's tried...and it aint pretty

) so I've got to get it all done this weekend, and when I come back I'll have more. I'll probably wash what I can when I visit my in-laws next weekend, that way I won't have 2 weeks worth to wash when I get home.
Hopefully I'll get some good food! It's being expensed.
Oh yes, I plan on bringing my variety puzzles AND my sudoku/logic book. And my TR notes, and my camera (with the USB plug, if I don't get to load my pics this weekend)
BTW, I'm done editing my photopass pics, so I can get down to business with the others now.
Well, you have such good ideas! I actually made my packing list already and on it I have included my Cross-stitching stuff. I haven't picked it up in a while but I'll probably have time while I'm there. After all, I may not want to DIS the WHOLE time
ahh...that sounds nice! I just hope they are in working order, considering the hotel is running on a generator at present time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
thanks for all the help! You sure made me focus on all that is GOOD about the trip!!
Thank you Marshay!
How are you? And how is DD?
Very good advice for Cheri. Me I would take lots of books and I would love the chance to be alone for awhile. Not that I don't love my family it's just that I need time alone too.
Gosh, I haven't read in a long time. I think this time I'll stick with my crosswords, the computer, and my needlepoint.
(gee, good thing I've got that COMPUTER in there or else you'd think I was an 80 year old woman!

)
