Wow! This thread is really looking great!
Everyone has such great creative ideas to post and they all look so wonderful- I notice I don't see many of you with threads or even photobucket/ 4share files attached- If you are not designing you really should be- Tebi, I noticed you said you are new but obviously not to designing- I love the Butterfly Kisses marquee-
Mommamegan, you too- where is your design thread- Hmmm? LOL very nicechoice of font & I am trying to learn the way to put font in without it being straight across- I really like that-
PinkPixie as always, just beautiful- You always have great designs!
A. Mickey, I love the way you did yours- How did you get just the Pooh & Piglet out of the pic to add to the other- I have tried and tried w/ hours of trial and error of taking just the main piece I want- I haven't figured out a quick easy way- AND/Or a way to do it without leaving an obvious "line" around the image- (Haven't gotten it done completely yet to use but if I try to put an image in that I took the background out of by erasing it is just sloppy looking) All of you give me inspiration to keep on going- Great work here!

Thanks for the compliment! :goodvibes I am a long time scrapbooker (on paper) and just got Photoshop to start Digital Scrapbooking, so that is where most of my "designing" comes from. I did create some T-shirts and stuff for my family for our upcoming trip - I got my inspiration from the DIS!:thumbsup2

Hey Tebi... How cool, My artistic nature comes from actual hands on too- LOL Not so much scrapbooking as stamping projects and classes I used to teach-
I also do beading and polymer clay as well as glass work- Actually now that I am typing this in- I do dabble in many different forms of craft but the Stampin' is what my thing has been at craft shows, classes, etc- I have had my jewelry requested for purchase but never took the time to get enough pieces ready for a show- Takes a lot of time to put enough merchandise together- LOL
With 5 kids everyone has always said I should scrap as well- I have taught layouts and color selection etc but not actually done one for my own family-
That will change, I bought a Tink album at AC's on sale- I intend to use it for our upcoming trip- Very excited BTW!
& I also notice you are in NC too! What a small world!

Thx MomEtc! I was looking for a new one- LOL This thread is what is going to make me better! I am still playing with the first two but maybe I can do one with this image that is posted at same time as everyone else gets one done- :surfweb: LOL
Already have an idea!

Thank you for the compliments . . . I only found the DIS boards a couple of weeks ago, so I am about as new 'round here as it gets! Not sure what program you use, but if you let me know I will try and give you some pointers on extraction and text curving . . .

well I'm off to work on the princess idea, my girls just love the princesses so this one will use a little more thought, as it's likely to end up as a shirt and not a quick post! ;)

I dont know what you use for designing but I use adobe photoshop CS3. I use the quick selection tool. Hope this helps! How did you do that cool swirl effect for your tinkerbell design??

Great job ladies! This is really fun! I think I'm totally addicted now!:woohoo:

Natalie,
I have been working on my next w/ that same marquee- Here it is...
Challenge3X-1.jpg

I am still working on size here too- This one seems a bit small- LOL But my last one still a bit large for the thread- In my Photobucket it is a complete frame- I will get it I imagine... I am not brave enough to add my Photobucket to the thread yet...
This one I am still not quite satisfied with the Text Color- But I took it from the design...
The first one I couldn't get the star out of Arora's face... :confused3 LOL

Natalie,

That is so pretty- How did you get the Mickey Swirl background and then the Princesses on top w/ the background showing through Cindy's arms and other small areas?
Thx for the hint-

Thank you.............
The Background is one I created. I removed the original background with a combo of the magic wand and the edge finder.

Love this one Moeluv! The starburst behind the princesses is a really nice effect! :thumbsup2

Thx MouseMomma!
I wanted to put a couple sparkles at "Shine" but couldn't figure how to do that just around the one word w/o it being "too much" or getting on the rest of the design- Any ideas? I have really appreciated all the tips! Your design is cool too- I watch everyone's and try and figure out how it was done- LOL My logic doesn't always match up to how it was orchestrated though- This has really been fun- My trial is almost up on PI so I hope I can get the next one I find and use it just as easily- I have become addicted and don't know what I will do if I can't work on a design or two in a week- LOL
