Dishwashing liquid...

Inspired by my own "how do I get the smell out" thread and all the helpful hints I received there, I thought I would pass along a tip I didn't learn until 40 years into my life!!! Oil stains on clothes? Tomato Based stains on clothes? have no fear.. Just put some everyday normal Dishwashing liquid on it... let it sink in and wash in cold water... Voila.. stain gone! DUH.. something so simple! Dishwashing liquid is designed to cut through oil.. so logical.. and boy does it work! So, next time you are out to dinner and spill that salad dressing on your blouse... ask the waitress to get you some dishwashing liquid from the kitchen instead of the seltzer from the bar!

It was also kill those dreaded box elder bugs.. If you have them on the side of your house, garage, on a tree trunk, etc., mix up a batch of warm water and dish liquid.. Attach it to a sprayer on your hose and let the little buggers have it! Deader than a door nail - something even pesticides can't accomplish with box elders..

I keep a bottle of Dawn in the laundry room. It's also good on cloth diapers.
