Dishwasher is dead

Our dishwasher made a strange noise last night and died

It seems to be filling with water but it's not being pumped round - I spoke to our regular appliance repair man and he says it sounds like the motor has died, which can be a bit expensive and it will probably be cheaper to buy a new dishwasher

It's a Bosch dishwasher, we've had it for about 5 years and this is the first thing that's gone wrong

Can anyone recommend a cheap replacement if we need to get a new one?

sorry to hear about your dish washer, as for a cheap replacement i think they are called dh, cheap to run but sometimes slow!! susie

We have a Miele, not cheap but by far the best we've seen or had (and we had 3 before). It doesn't have those stupid baskets for the cutlery but a pull out tray at the top. Definitely worth the extra.

Please, please, please don't buy it from Curry's, Dixon's or Comet, for your own sanity.

Get it from somewhere like John Lewis who are much more cooperative if anything goes wrong. They also price match.

I would have thought that a Bosch should have lasted longer than 5 years!
