Disgusted with a DCL CM

This is definitely not a safety or something that people should feel would ruin their cruise. It is clearly just a dumb, insensitive and immature thing that this CM did. She should be fired! This something I feel should be discussed with our own kids and family to be sensitive and show respect to all types, races, sizes...etc.

I don't understand all the build up on this one. It seems like attention seeking in a way to put out there that you don't want to tell but you will if people ask. It seems there would be a way to leave out any identifying details and just post it on the boards if you really are going to turn around and PM the world about it anyway.

At least some people are admitting they are just curious and not pretending to be "worried". I guess it makes people feel less nosy if they use a different word.

Someone PM'd me with the details. Quite frankly I don't see what the big secret is to not revealing what the issue is. There's no need to post the name of the CM or the source of this digital evidence, but this type of incident actually happens all the time, every day, in places other than a DCL cruise ship.

What everyone needs to realize is that ANYONE on the ship could be doing what the OP alleges (and I use this term because I personally have not seen any of the evidence nor do I know the CM). Disney making the choice to react to it won't prevent it from happening again at all.

This type of situation is not isolated only to a Disney CM. Any person on that ship...quite frankly any person anywhere at any time...could be doing this.

Honestly....after reading it, I feel the same way. There's blogs out on cyberspace that have people doing the same thing.

OP, I'm sorry that you and your family were involved, though. I don't agree with the actions done by the CM by any means.

My guess is that a CM was making a very rude gesture, face and/or parody and was "caught" in the background of OP's picture or video.

I have seen trip reports here on the DIS that do it....yet I don't think I've ever seen the outrage.

I was able to get the info last night from OP. My thought is, aren't the CMs on contract with Disney during the cruise? I would imagine that they must outline what they expect of you while you are onstage, backstage or even off the clock. It seems the CM did not think about what she was doing, even if she wasn't working, she was still representing Disney.

Since the OP's question has been asked and answered I'm closing this thread since it's getting out of line with everyone wanting a PM from someone.

As the OP has said - it has nothing to do with safety, just a stupid judgment call that happens all the time with the age of the internet.
