You are all too funny! Really looking forward to seeing Alan in the thong & earrings! I just sent an email to the AKV concierge asking if they can either make sure we have a photopass photographer at our meet or can let me know how to arrange for one- I'll let you know what they say (this concierge service is nice! I just email them what we want to do, and they set it all up and then send me an itinerary. It's very cool!). I don't know if this is something they can do or not, but I thought it was worth a shot!

So I called Disney today about the dessert party and the dept that handles it is only there Monday-Friday. I did however get some info from a Disney wedding site. I believe it would all be the same cost wise. Pretty pricey unless we can get enough people interested to share the cost of the site fee.

Wow! I made a post on Wednesday, was busy working on Thursday and Friday, and today I find myself 4 PAGES BEHIND! Wow....you would think this meet is getting CLOSE or something!

Just want to give everyone an update on the t-shirts. I've seen the proof and it pretty much looks like what we thought it would. I get the feeling that somewhere in China right now, there's a shortage of lime green material due to recent high demand!!

Can't wait! this time in 30 days I will be in the air headed for Disney!!!! Yahooey!! Will be doing the DoleWhip Meet that Night , and then the BIG ONE!!!! I will be looking for my T shirt to come early next month!!! Thanksagain Alan you are awesome !!!!

Lately, I've been lurking on the boards but I haven't posted much. At this moment I should be working on my LAST paper which is due Tuesday

I'm getting very excited about this meet. I've never met any DISers and it looks like by the time this trip is over, I will have met half of the DISer population !!

I changed my plans for the 17th so I will be in EPCOT for the day. I plan to get to France about 2:30 p to get my Grand Marnier Slushie and wait for everyone else to arrive.

Hi Angela! I will be sure to check out your link. I'm excited about the meet too. Great plan to get their early for the Grand Marnier Slushie. We are having lunch at Le Cellier that day, so I intend to have a Moosehead on draft before the meet. And, of course, following the meet it will be time for a pint or three at the R & C!! (I should do their marketing campaign for them! "Get a pint or three at the R & C!")

Sorry, have been off the boards for a while, and just noticed the "Grand Marnier Slushie" that some persons have been referencing. From where to I get this wonderful beverage? I'll be at the parks from Friday through Sunday, and I'm not sure that I can wait until Sunday to try it out; especially since my last experience with a frozen margarita (Mexico) was less that pleasant.

Also, since I came to the party a bit too late for the "official" shirt, should I be picking up something in a lime-green color so as to be recognized? Or should I wear my usual clothes and look for all the folks dressed in green?

Hi JohnEric! You can purchase a t-shirt online at the store I set up. The link is www.cafepress.com/dismaymeet. They are more expensive there, but the quality is very nice.

Also, the Grand Marnier Slushie can be purchase at a small stand in the France Pavilion. You can't miss it...it is right in the main walkway. Here is a picture of the stand:

My DGF, Lonnie & I drank around the world on our girlie trip last year, and in France we did a wine flight (France is a GOOOOODDDD country for beverages!). It shouldn't be hard to find this drink stand, just follow the lime greenshirts and the line they form to get the drink!
Just look for a section near the Eiffel Tower that looks like a lime orchard! Somehow, I don't think you will be able to miss this group if you tried! You might want to hide your green shirt and decide later of you want to put it on (after you decide whether you want to be recognized as part of this prestigious group)

I can just hear it now...."Mommy! Mommy! Who are all those weird people wearing those horrible green shirts? And why are they so loud and obnoxious?"

It's basically where a large group of people gather in a prime viewing spot for illumnations having previously paid probably a little too much for the private area for the desserts and the view.

Heavens no! It doesn't mean anything except you don't have a lime green shirt! My DH and DD won't be caught dead in lime green! Don't let that stop you from being there and having some fun! A little bit of other colors will just give some added variety.
In fact, I have never owned anything in lime green until now and there probably is a good reason for it - I look like a huge lime in lime green!

Illuminations is my very favorite night show. Makes me cry every time. Seriously. It does. Really.

Can't believe I'm admitting this, but we've never actually seen Illuminations. We are all over it this time.

Our family is thrilled about meeting all of you. Something tells me we are all going to laugh ourselves silly and make some great memories.
