DISers unite! MAMMOTH MAY MEET Epcot on May 17, 2009!

Hey everyone,
I wanted to know what time you are all meeting and where up for Spectromagic at MK on Saturday?? I might add a day to our park passes. If I do then well be able to go to MK for the Dolewhip/ Spectro meet. Spectro is on my must do list for this trip, so works out perfectly.

Hey Nichole. We hope you can join us for Saturday too. This certainly is going to be a fun weekend!

Dole Whips and Spectromagic on Saturday, followed by the Mammoth May Meet in France and maybe something in the UK on Sunday. And it's almost at the 1 month countdown.

Aloha Isle is in Adventureland and is right over the bridge (if coming from the "hub") on your right. Its pretty much across from the Swiss Family Treehouse.

And I certainly would like to give a lot of credit to Rosie for helping me out with this meet. She is quite the promoter.

I did not know that, Rosie! I'm so glad that you were able to overcome breast cancer! My mother and my mother-in-law are both survivors.

Well I think that's awesome! I didn't even know you performed. What do you perform? Tell me all about it (have to get to know something about you all before the 17th lol)

I support many like causes. Cancer/heart/stroke being at the front not because I don't care about, or donate, to others but because they have had the most effect on myself, my family and my friends directly. For me if I had been born 20 years earlier, give or take, I wouldn't be here now.

I don't know if I have told everyone on this board or not, but I am a musician. My best friend for 20+ years and I have an acoustic duo called "T &A" (or Tracey and Alan.) We play rock music from the 60s to modern music, as well as original songs. I have been playing in a rock band since I was 15 years old. Almost every weekend, Tracey and I play gigs for money, and it is a great second job for me. I get to hang out with my best friend, drink for free, be the center of attention, and get paid for it!! Tracey and I have performed professionally together as a duo since 1992.

This past Thursday, we performed for free for a concert to benefit breast cancer research....a cause that is very near and dear to my heart.

Kudos to all of you that support fundraising for cancer of any kind and congratulations to all of you survivors. My dear cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago. Ironically, she is an RN supervisor on an oncology floor. We learned recently that it has returned. Cancer should be a four letter word

Another thing I have not revealed to everyone - my DW is a two-time cancer survivor. She has had colon cancer and a tumor in her breast area, (but not breast cancer.) She has a rare genetic disorder called Gardner's Syndrome. Unfortunately, our DD carries the gene as well.

I hope so too. Nothing better than watching the Spectro while eating a dole whip! We like to watch it from just over the walkway to Frontierland in front of the LTT (or if you leave the Aloha Isle, go down a ways, turn right and go under the walkway near the Arcade, turn a little to your right and there you are!). I think that's about right! Sad how I can see it in my mind! Wish I could taste the dole whip too

We don't get to Orlando until about 1 p.m. so we will hit the parks about 3 or so and MK will be our first stop! Since we leave about 6 a.m., don't you know we will be ready for some fun!

As someone has said my "SOLO" trip isn't really solo !! plan all the Meets when it is just me !! When we all go in September I will be too busy with the family to make a lot of meets although I do plan a couple at least !! In 3 days it will be 1 month to MMM!!

Yeah, I'm just draggin my family with me to meet everyone! Didn't give them a choice - they can come or sit by the pool at the resort! So I will probably be solo too Rosie!They are just not into meeting "strangers" I told them you guys weren't that strange well, most of you aren't

My DH will just go with the flow though. Won't be his first meet. Matter of fact we just met another Dis board family in NYC tonight.

Rosie I would think the photopass photogs would be jumping at the chance to shoot those shots!

. I tried the Fiesta Margarita last year at the Mexico stand and it wasn't very good. So I have been wanting to try the Gray Goose slush or the Grand Marnier Orange slush. I am glad I will not be the only one .

Awww...thanks. I'm actually humbled by the entire experience. My mother is a survivor, and my mother-in-law as well. It was the least I could do.

Yep, there should be no shortage of lime green shirts at Epcot that day. I placed the official order earlier this week, and we ended up with 30 shirts total. I'm pretty sure we should be able to get a PhotoPass photographer over to take a picture of this motley crew!

Hi Rosie! T-shirts are in the works and I should have them by April 30th. I plan to mail them all out on May 1st....which is coming up quickly!
