Why did everyone choose this time to go to Disney?

I of course didn't have much of a choice as Scilla picked the wedding date, so we had to go off of that

We went last year the same week - we get out of school a little earlier than the public schools in NJ, so we thought we'd miss the MAD SUMMER RUSH. lol
We also like to go "down the shore" in August for a few days... and this makes a beginning of the season and end of the season vacations. Also, we have a really nice built in pool in the backyard, and I like to be able to enjoy the middle of the summer next to it, reading my books!

Camera update! I am taking back my cheap crappy camera today and I have ordered a Nikon Coolpix, thanks to Renee's advice and the good reviews I have read about it online. I found a 7.2 mega pixel with image stabilization for $188 online at WalMart! Yay! I am so excited. Can't wait til it gets here so I can play with it before the trip.

Great!! I hope you like it! I am going to get that one soon - so far I really like the 5 mega pixel I have now.

I'll probably take three 1 mb cards. On our last full week trip to Disney I took over 300 pictures and they were with the 35 mm. Now that I have the digital, I go totally crazy. Plus the videos really eat up the card space. I'll probably use 2 of the cards but want the 3rd just in case. I have to remember to pack my battery charger!

My card is 1 gb ... it can hold about 600 photos. Very handy!


Oops! I didn't invite Wendy either. I guess you all are so close to me that we could meet up any old time, eh? Halfway, let's meet at McDonald's in LaFayette!

Didn't invite MOI, either.... I think we are driving distance. But, I don't know, since I WASN'T INVITED...........

Y'all want to see what I spent a whole afternoon last week at work doing?

I'm pretty proud of myself! It's a slightly abbreviated picture itinerary for the kids! That way they'll have their own itinerary to look at to know what we're doing each day. I got the idea over on the TGM boards. So if any of you are bored, it's a great way to kill a whole afternoon!

Yep, I guess I am "spoiled".

Of course, right now, I am losing my mind trying finish up these Summer Reading requirements - I am distributing them to all the students on Wednesday and then have to bring copies to the local Barnes & Noble and the public libraries... I have to create the Graduation programs for the Mass and the evening ceremony... I have to rehearse with the 8th graders for their musical number at the ceremony and meet with the PreK students to rehearse their songs for their "step up program"... need to print out invitiations for Dana's annual "class pool party"... and get Dana ready for her first "Horse Show" on Sunday.... AND finish up the school year and pack up all my personal belongs that I have collected in the Library for the past 8 years!
Oh yes, I need to get ready for DISNEY, too!!!!

We went on a walk tonight...1 time around our neighborhood is a mile and we went around 2x. We have said that we are going to try to walk every night after supper...we need to get everybody ready for all the walking we will do at Disney.

Do any of your children collect pressed pennies? Mine did the last time and really enjoyed it. Before our last trip I read on here that you need pennies that are 1982 or earlier. I reconcile the petty cash at work so for the last few months I have been exchanging my newer pennies for some older ones. I also read on here teh best thing to clean them with is ketchup (which works, by the way) so I used up all of the ketchup packets in my desk today and my pennies are soaking overnight.

I'm slowly obtaining more spending money...I just requested $50 to cash in my My Survey points and by the time we leave I should have $60 in mileage reimbursement for work...I know that should go to our Chevron bill but I'm going to use it for spending money.

Fri. 22nd- MK 9-12 Swim 1-2 at WL Check in Swan 3- Epcot 5-9. Boardwalk on the way back up to the room.

Sat. 23rd – Typhoon Lagoon 8-1. DTD Planet Hollywood dinner 5:30pm Fantasia Mini Golf 8:00.

Sun. 24th- Epcot 8-1, Soarin, TT, MS, U of E, SE, lunch Mexico 12 MGM-4-10 Indy 4, Lights Motors Action 5:30, Pizza Planet 6pm then GMR and VLM, Fantasmic 9pm –TOT 9:30 w/Courtney and Renee

Yes, that's a change...at least for now. You never know with my dh though. Honestly, though, we will probably go to Seaworld on Wednesday and not do the "Kids Night Out" (where they watch the kids for a couple hours for us) since we don't want to have the kids miss the "Christmas Party" on Thursday.

So glad to hear you got it. When I got to OD today the guy said they didn't have any...then that my confirmation was wrong (aparently I had put the wrong numbers from the back of my card, oops), but the manager fixed it and its all good. Yeah!

I have been out shopping all day. Got lots of the last minute stuff we needed like sunscreen and little things like that! Thank goodness for gift cards!!

Thanks! I made it in Excel. It was really pretty simple. Each day is a cell. I did some quick Google searches for photos & clipart to use, and then inserted them into the Excel sheet one by one. It was probably a pretty pointless activity, but I sure had fun!

I like the idea of a decision chart. How did you do it?
