I think everyone thought that meeting at the hugely popular Nemo show at that time would really take a bite out of everyone's schedule. I think Crazy Kanga is still up for it though. I backed away from that meet because this really was going to be our 2nd "first" time there and we really needed to do things right, so I worried about making a specific time. Tnmomof4 thought the same thing as far as having to get in line extra early. :confused3

Crazy thought getting ADRs for Donald's and then rushing to EE would be a great thing for us to do and I agreed totally!!

I have the same problem. It's our only day there and it's both DD's favorite park. I'll meet you all at EE. We're going to ride + FP then head over to Maharajah trek as we have never done that then hopefully Nemo show, lunch & Lion King (also never done)

We don't have a Golden Corral here. Used to but it closed down. I like nice cheap places when you have to bring the family.

Never heard of "Golden Corral"..

If I had more than an "only", I would feel the same way about bringing the kids... We rarely went "fancy" when we were kids, because we were a family of 6. Bob & I were married 7 years before Dana was born, and we sort of got used to a "routine".. then we just added her to the routine. :goodvibes

She was 7 when we went on the 7-night Disney Magic cruise... the waiter handed her the kids menu and she asked, very politely, "Where is the escargot?" The rest of the table almost fell over, and the waiter tried to control his laughter, cleared his throat, and said, "I guess Madam would prefer the ADULT menu?" :lmao:

I love that story about Dana and the escargot! :lmao:

I think having one child would be easier on everything. I notice how much more well behaved our kids are when we do things with them individually. I do have to admit that they really are good kids when we go out to eat. People have even commented to us how well behaved they were! Those were proud moments. Brooke is a little pain in the patooey right now but she's getting better. I'm glad my kids like the kids menu items. I can't imagine spending any more at this time on them!

That is funny. When we started having kids, we said we wouldnt eat out as much. Then that didnt work. We started using coupons and only said we would eat out if we had a coupon. Then I started finding the places where kids eat free, and on what day...Theres always a way.

I agree. I think having one child is easier on things. I can say with 100%certainity that nobody has ever commented on the good behavior of my kids:lmao: Because they are down right miserable, well the older 2 ones are. Its amazing, They are 5 yrs apart. My oldest is 12 1/2, and he is on the sensitive side. It seems everything hurts his feelings. My 7 yr old, well shes been my wild child from day one. Shes got thick skin..and it takes A LOT tomake her cry or to hurt her feelings. They play off each other so much, some days its hard to take:eek:
By themselves they are pretty nice kids...together...watch out.

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been on the last couple of days

So last night I got a text message from Scilla asking me if I wanted to meet her at, you ready for it? That's right..............Friendly's! So I eat at friendly's last night. She cheated and skipped dinner to eat a sunday :cutie: She is going to have to do MUCH better than that when we have kids, what kind of example is she setting?:lmao:

Let's see............

Restuarant
1. Narcoosse's (that's the begging of our "date" night- then we go to Cirque du Soliel
2. Sci-Fi (I have never been)

This weekend, I need to get a haircut, then am going to sit down in front of the TV and watch the NFL draft!:happytv:

Scilla has a test on Tuesday, so I won't even see her

JJ- I wasn't able to put the fish in my signature, then I just forgot to try again, maybe I'll have to dig it up and put it in, even though I don't see anyone from the group on this board anymore

PBBF! Your fish friends are still around. We hang out at the bottom of the pond so you have to look carefully;)

I still go to the "TIAB" board every once in a while. But I don't see too many on this board. of course I only go to the theme parks and outside topics boards

My kids do have their moments. In restaurants they are pretty good, though. (I hope that statement doesn't come back and bite me in the **** in Disney World) At home, my kids are wild and out of control sometimes. People don't believe that when they see them out, especially Evan's teachers because he is really shy out in public.

Too cute about Scilla and the sundae. What are your favorite sundaes? Mine is black raspberry with hot fudge! But you would never guess where my favorite ice cream place is....Okay, ready for this? It's the gas station down the corner from our home! Yup. Their soft serve is very good and cheap - and did I mention close??

Are you a bottom feeder too???????? I wish I could join the elite club.

believe it or not (I'm walking on air...) sorry that poped into my head as I was writing that. I am not big on sweets/desserts. My favorit ice cream is mint chocolate chip though.

The bottom feeders only excepted members for about a 4 hour period one day. We don't socialize anymore, but just acnolage each other when we see one another

Mine are both like that. People are always shocked when I say they argue and don't listen. They get along well most of the time. Tucker is very sweet to Avery, but she can be really nasty to him. Is it to early for PMS???

DM... last year we scheduled our dinners around 6 or 7 for some "down time." Some nights they would eat, and then fall asleep in their chairs while we finished. Then they were ready to go again! :yay: :yay:

Never too early for PMS - the "P" is "pre" ... :lmao:

Most of our sitdown meals are scheduled for lunches. We thought that would be easier on the kids with CS whenever we felt hungry later. Easier to get separate CSs if one of the kids "konk out". There are some meals that we had no choice but to do dinners, like our Epcot days. All we can do is hope they are good. I really am more worried about Brooke because she is just "go, go, go". Sometimes we have to order our food and then Rob takes her for a quick walk just to get her up so she's not as fidgety during the meal.

I have had 3 cans of caffeine-free Diet Coke and all this non-caffeine is going straight to my head. Will someone please get on and

WAKE ME UP????

Anyone use any of those "call ahead" grocery services to have water & snacks delivered to the hotel? Do you have to be there to receive the delivery?

Last year, our town car service included a "grocery stop", but this year, we are going to fly in the evening before, and stay at the Hyatt right in the airport. The car service will pick us up first thing in the morning, and I'm sure the Dolphin won't be ready to check us in - so if we stop for a case of water, Coke, and snacks, it will be sitting with our luggage as we check in and get started at the parks...

Wondered how the "call and deliver" services work. :confused3
Of course, hubby just looked at me and said - "just buy the darn water when you need it!" I liked having peanut butter crackers in my bag while we were waiting on line for a ride... or having a coke in the middle of the night if I wanted it. LOL Oh well... thought I'd save him a few dollars and look at the thanks I get! ;)

WAKE UP DAWN MAREE!!!!!!!

I need some caffeine, too............. thunderstorms had Mr. Mocha frightened to death last night - I ended up on the family room couch with him - I didn't have to do that with my CHILD and I'm doing it with the DOG! :sad2:
Now I have to stay awake for the second performance of "Annie" tonight and the cast party!!

WAKE UP DAWN MAREE!!!!!!!
Thank you!! I would have preferred if you sang it to me tho...:rolleyes1

I haven't used a "call ahead" service before but someone on these boards suggested using Staples if you wanted to buy water. And they will deliver for free if you have a Staples.com account (which is also free). They only deliver Mon - Fri but that the resort will hold any delivery for you.

We did get our groceries once at Publix with our escort. We didn't buy anything that needed refrigeration but I know the YC stored all of our groceries for us and asked if anything needed refrigeration, as they could have provided that for us also. We arrived at 1 pm and didn't get our rooms until about 3 pm.

I definitely want to order the water from Staples or the Grocer thing, whichever is easier. I did sign up for the Staples account just in case I want to use that.

"Good Morning, Merry Sunshine, how did you wake so soon? You scared the little birds awake, and shined away the moon"..:rolleyes1

(sung to me every morning of my youth - sung to my daughter every morning of HER youth... what can I tell you? We are one big sappy family......)
