We are flying down from Syracuse, NY. I wish we could drive and save money but Rob's work schedule really sucks. In fact, he is supposed to work on the Saturday that we will be down there but he is "blowing it off". He works as a route salesman for Frito-Lay (chips anyone?). The boys last day of school is on Friday, June 22, but they will only be there for about 1½ hours. I say why bother send them to school but the state wants their money no matter how long they are there.

So, our flight leaves Syracuse at 6:35 pm and we are supposed to get in at 10:58 pm. I am not worried about DME because there has been some big controversy about them not getting your baggage now after 11 pm. :confused3 I've been following this very closely on the transportation board. I may decide to use some type of transport service on our arrival night.

We probably won't be able to make it back to Disney for about 3 years after this trip. Maybe I'l brave driving down with the kids then while Rob flies down. But that is 3 years from now...let's get to this vacation first! :woohoo:

Ok.. you guys are just so chatty:)

I was originally up at 5am with a migraine:headache: I had to come down and take my Imitrex(What a lifesaver for me)..I sat down here and read for a bit, and thought I would reply to some posts...but I headed upstairs to the bed instead.

So who is flying down to Disney, who is Driving down????

..

Sorry to hear about your migraine! I suffer from them at times, too, but I take Replax.

We are flying - if I ever book the flights!!! I keep waiting and checking :surfweb: for a "deal" on JetBlue. So far a few have come through, but not as far out as June. I even booked the Hyatt right in the airport for the night before, so we can fly in early and have the full day on Friday. The savings between the Thurs night flight and the room is a wash, but it DOES get us to the Dolphin as early as we would like on Friday - drop off our bags, and head out to wherever we decide. I'm thinking Epcot, so that we are close enough to check back when we think the room is ready. I like to feel "unpacked and settled!" :goodvibes

Kanga - your family portrait is beautiful! We will be at the Dolphin while you are at the Swan!

We're flying down. Some are coming from Detroit and some of us from Nashville. Those of you who are driving, stop off in Ocala and the Florida welcome center. Ocala has the Disney Welcome Center and Florida Welcome Center free OJ!

Hopefully my sinuses will be fully cleared up by the time vacation roles around.

We are driving, leaving around 2pm on 6/22...DH wants to work a 1/2 day that day, if I can talk him into taking the entire day off we will of course leave earlier. If we do leave at 2 we will arrive at Pop sometime after midnight...DH likes to stop at Wal-Marts and Targets along the way, he collects Hot Wheels cars so he likes to check out the selection in other places. This is not my favorite part of the trip because it takes so long to get there!!

We will be leaving to come home early on 7/1...stopping at Wal-Marts and Targets on the way home in case they got something new that he didn't see on the way down  . Can you tell I'm not really into the Hot Wheel thing...but he is and I love him  ...he puts up with my Disney obsession so I can put up with the Hot Wheels.

The kids and I are leaving on June 6. I am driving from Nashville to Satellite Beach, FL. (This is near Cocoa Beach) Last year it took me two 1/2 days. But I like to take my time, and I have no choice with 4 kids. I haven't planned out our stops yet. I just got AAA so I can get their travel routes and in case something happens. We are staying in Satellite Beach until our Disney vacation starts on June 22. I will try to leave early enough to get to ASMu by 9:00 a.m. From Satellite Beach to Orlando it is only a little over an hour, but I always get lost for some reason. After I pass the Orlando Airport I get confused which way to go. I hope I don't get lost this year. :) Then we leave Disney July 2 and go back to Satellite Beach to rest from our vacation. Then I will drive us back to Nashville.

Goodness...there have been no new postings since 1 pm - that's over 2½ hours!

I've been rethinking our ADRs again. Now I don't think we will be going to San Angel Inn on our Epcot Thursday for dinner. After browsing the menus, I remembered Spoodle's at the BoardWalk. We went there back in 2003 and really liked it. I checked out the posted pics and my mouth started drooling. So, I guess I'm changing yet another ADR...

I'm going to get ready now because we're going out to Chili's for dinner tonight.

Wow...I must be the only person who hasn't messed with my ADRs. I made them at 180...actually 181, don't know why they let me do that, I was calling for my "dry run" to get the prompts down and when the CM came on the phone I asked if I could make ADRs she said yes. I know I didn't have my dates wrong becuase I had called several times and was told I could start on Christmas Eve but they let me make them the day before...it was an early Christmas present! Anyway the only thing I have done with mine is add 2...Restaurantasaurus when I found out that Rainforest didn't open for breakfast until 8:30 and then I added Boma when we decided to stay another night!

I was going over the menu for Sci-Fi Theater. I know last year when we went there my three year olds got chicken nuggets, but I don't see that on the menu now. I know most people hate to eat at Sci-Fi. I have read a lot of bad reviews, but it is my older boys favorite. We have never had a bad experience so we all still like it. I actually have it down twice in our ADR, so I might have to change one to something else. I think I will call and find out about the kids menu. My twins will ONLY eat chicken. I guess I could get them some french fries. Not a great meal though...

We didn't really care for Spoodle's last June.. Didn't feel there was enough variety on the menu.. but the atmosphere was pleasant.
Actually, we were somewhat disappointed in San Angel Inn, also. It wasn't what we remembered 10 years ago.
However, the restaurant on the first floor in France - can't remember the name off hand... was "to die for"! We had an excellent dinner there!
This year we are going to try Germany and the 50's PT Diner. Would also like to eat at Downtown Disney - but we will take a cab - the buses to/from the Dolphin were much too S L O W...

Thanks Courtney! I really don't like putting pics of my family out there on the internet, but I figure only a few of you stalkers will see it anyway.

And Disneolic, no the picture isn't exactly professionally done. My BIL who is an amature photographer took it. He is very good though, and is trying to start doing photography semi professionally on the side.
And NO we probably won't stick very strictly to that plan, but it's a guide. We usually stay pretty close to my plans, but I'm not over commando about it because my ds12 is autistic and we have to sort of let his mood take the lead. The afternoon rest/poolbreaks are very necessary for him to decompress though. Helps the rest of us too.

Just been reading the past few pages while eating my birthday cake feeling sad that my birthdays over and my diet has to start tomorrow but also happy cos it means going to the World isnt too far away!

Too bad about your twins only eating chicken. I love the Sci-Fi. It's just such fun place with the coolest atmosphere. Maybe you could start sneaking in a hotdog from time to time until vacation to your twins to see if they like them or "learn" to like them. ;) I occasionally will give my DD a hotdog and cut them up into pieces, placing them in a smiley face on the plate with ketchup for hair and tongue. She likes that.

Sorry you didn't care for Spoodle's. I guess everyone's experience is different. The reason I am changing our San Angel ADR is that the majority of the comments on this place are really bad. I think I was going for the atmosphere anyway so it's no big deal to change it out now. I still have another ADR for Garden Grill at the same time just in case but we weren't too happy with the food last time.

We are flying too. We are leaving at 6am on June 20 and arriving back home at 10:30pm on June 25... So excited!

No LA--- I haven't changed mine either. I knew before my trip was even scheduled which places I wanted when... And I actually made the ADRs even before my trip was booked. I get hooked on the same places and they become a "must do" for us!

Yummo!!!! We're just making hamburgers!

Well I have started on the Bacardi Breezers so if I did have 5.5 hrs yet I'd be pretty  in the morning!

I'm now the 'wrong' side of 25 :scared1: so I need a drink!

Hahahaha!!!!! I'm joining you with my glass of wine! And if you were where I lived, you'd have 6.5 hours left of bacardi!

Man, now you've got me scared to go to San Angel Inn. It always smells soooo good in there and the atmosphere is so cool. Oh, well. We'll give it a try. We are only doing lunch so it won't be too big of a splurge if it turns out to be bad.
