They are actually going to visit Wynn's uncle. BIL lives in Savannah, and they are going, too. Sorry... wasn't very clear earlier! :confused3 Long story short... Wynn's uncle is a VP at Motorola, and has more money than he knows what to do with. He has a 1970something firetruck that he had completely restored. He will be driving it in some parade they are having, and the kids all get to ride on it. And that is the main purpose for the trip!

Ok, NOW I have it! :rotfl: Too bad you can't go along, too...

....down memory lane.....

I was just looking at our photos from our 1996 trip when Dana had just turned 3... First off, it was very shocking to realize that our trip started on September 11, 1996. wow... to think, five years later....
:sad1:

Anyway....

Dana was very excited to meet the "princesses"... all were very sweet and accomodating, but Snow White was especially wonderful... For some reason, Dana was so thrilled with meeting her, and instead of just saying hello and a quick squeeze like she did with the others, she gave her a bear hug and wouldn't let go... Snow White was so overwhelmed that she couldn't let her go... she hugged her so tightly - and when she let go, she had tears running down her cheeks and said to us, "oh my, she is a love!" It was one of those "Disney moments"! :tink:

I wish I could get ahold of the ones I have from way back when. There use to be a time where they had a castle backdrop and you could get a picture with Mickey.

LizA- So glad she's doing better! Girls do tend to be a little dramatic... I never had those tendencies, though--- Um, yeah right- I'm still dramatic!

Thanks I'm glad she is doing better too!!

Renee - I have tears in my eyes now too...that is wonderful!!

more down "memory lane".... I need to put away the photo album!:goodvibes

1996 - first day at the parks - RAINING CATS & DOGS - CM says to us, "this isn't a regular Florida afternoon shower - don't waste your entrance ticket!" so we headed over to 1900 Park Fare, and Dana had all the characters to herself...
See Courtney - she can go on Splash Mountain with you - she's got your outfit on!

Giving Minnie a kiss on the nose...

Later that week, we happened upon the American Adventure in EPCOT, and Dana was dressed very appropriately (by sheer coincidence, mind you. lol)
Donald Duck kept coming back to her and pointing at her outfit and then his... he apparently was quite impressed that they "matched"... another one of those "Disney Moments" - whoever was in that Donald costume was very taken by her! (note the wink - she used to do that all the time when someone was taking a picture!)

Ok... time to put the old pictures away!! :goodvibes

We took a little trip down memory lane tonight too...we were getting Amanda's room ready to paint so we had to take down the border. I put that up when I was expecting her so it was sad taking it down. BTW it was pink & white with bows on it so she hasn't been living in a "baby room" all this time. I picked this border because I knew it would grow with her but she has finally outgrown it. She has picked a bright pink comforter with lime green sheets, blanket & pillows. DH choose to paint the walls lime green and he thinks he is going to do pink polka dots on it. Her room has been pink on the top, the border in the middle and then pink & white stripes that he painted on the bottom. He can get very creative for his girls!!

Sorry for 3 posts in a row...but

Courtney - I noticed on the pic on your TR that Ryan is left handed. Both of my girls are left handed. So I think I have a pretty good idea which drawing is his now...I didn't post this over there because I thought it might give away who's is who's.

And, I think Avery's spunk warrants at LEAST 50 cents..... :lmao:

Actually... I went to tuck her in bed tonight, and her spunk is worth MUCH more than 50 cents! Seems the little snake was lying through her crooked teeth! She had dress ups all over her floor, and she had been up there changing clothes as well... there were 4 outfits, a gymnastics leotard, a bathing suit, and 2 pairs of PJs scattered around!:rotfl2:

We are having one hellacious storm tonight! Flash flood warnings and tons of lightening. Of course, the kids were scared and couldn't sleep, and are now totally wired. They keep coming downstairs for one reason or another. And the stupid dog has decided that NOW she must go outside and pee! She keeps whining at the back door. Hate to tell her, but she is gonna have to pee the floor before I put her out in that storm!

The storm passed us over. It thundered and that but nothing of that extent. We have brown lawns here.

That is a precious picture of Dana and Snow White...I think it would bring tears to anybody who saw the magic there.

Courtney- who drew which one?

(Suspense is KILLING me) :rotfl:

This is an older pic of DS and I at Mickey's Backyard BBQ. It was taken in 2004. I looked and looked, but I don't have anything more recent of ME! :rotfl: I will post something better after we get back from WDW. Michael has changed a lot, but I only have more gray hair.

Cute pic! I am really jealous that you are getting ready to go. My next big vacation is SO FAR AWAY! And I am finding out that planning a cruise is not nearly as fun as planning WDW... there's only so much you can plan...

Storms here this morning ... Mocha has developed an insane fear of thunder this past spring... I'm a bad mommy and only allow him on the first floor - NO BEDROOMS..
The past few storms, I've had to go downstairs and snuggle with him on the family room couch to get him to calm down. This morning, Dana went to him at 5:30 AM. They are STILL down there! lol

Thanks for all the sweet comments about my "Trip Down Memory Lane"...
For all of you with little ones, ENJOY THEM! They grow SO QUICKLY!!!

I took Dana to her riding lesson last evening and it was very warm, so she had on a thin spaghetti strapped top with her riding pants, helmet, and high boots... I watched her walk to the ring and I got quite a jolt! She's getting so tall and she's very slender.... I called Bob on my cell phone & said, "Whoa... we better be sure to watch this one going off to high school in September!" It's hit me that there will be EIGHTEEN YR OLD BOYS in the same school. I'm SO not ready for this!!!
She's becoming a young woman... WHERE DID MY BABY GO AND WHO TOOK HER?!?!

Gee, that sounds familiar:rolleyes1 LOL

I feel the exact same way. When you get closer, you can look into the shore excursions and such, that is always fun :)
